Jackal is still better, but yes, Deimos is the new weaker Jackal.
One of my favorite things about this is it will hopefully give Vigil some more use, because I feel like he’s a really good but underused roamer.

The past couple seasons I've had Vigil as like a D tier defender because his scanner hasn't countered attacker abilities or at least attackers that are meta setters (like lion) but now being the best counter to Deimos who will likely be the #1 meta setting attacker, he immediately moves to A or S tier like you said. Used to main him back in the day but his cloak hasn't been able to keep up with all the new gadgetry of the new ops. Now he's back better than ever. @@BloodWorks00

At first I thought that he's literally going to be grim/jackal's copy but the more information I get about him, the more I like him and see that he has his own unique sides
I like how only he can see the ping of a defender. If jackal were like this I think he'd be pretty balanced too. We won't know for sure until we actually play with/against Deimos but it feels like they got him right from the beginning.

One shot head shot means nobody is over powered because all operators have a head.
I think they shouldn't make it a live ping as that seems a lot better than Jackal/Lion. Perhaps they should also remove his own ping if they did remove the live ping from the enemy.
In that case he’d literally just end up jackal but only for himself. We’ll have to see how he plays in public servers first.

For someone brand new to siege which operators should i use? And what i mean by this is from the selection of free operators they gave me from gamepass and from finishing tutorials, which operators and guns are best before i can start buying other operators? Would appreciate the help!
Buck and iq are pretty good
Sens and Grim are really good both in power and difficulty.
I learned a lot from sledge
Buck is a very versatile operator. He can make quick breaches horizontally and vertically with his shotgun ability. Making him deadly if you're an experienced Buck player.
He has 3 weapons he can use in a match whenever he wants with the standard being 2 for every operator.
Gonna really change ranked now, gonna have to communicate with the team to weigh out options on wanting to ban deimos, jackal, dokkebi

Jackal scans footprints, so cav's silent step cancels his ability, but she wont be able to counter a tracking drone based on based on operator scan if u scaned her on drone, or seen her, u will be able to track her, her ability wont counter u

i think Deimos is very good, but not overpowered.
His gadget is good, however next to useless when the enemy is in site.
Since he just got released there's probably going to be at least one counter to him on the enemy team.
So he is probably going to get a bit better when the hype blows down a bit.
I don't think his ability could ever be useless.

He can’t use it if he doesn’t know what the defenders are playing. So let’s say you pinged Cav, so now you unlock Cav as an option to hunt, until you unlock more you can’t use his thing

The only thing I don’t like about this review is that it neglects to cover the fact that his gadget also gives himself away to the enemy. And if the other team is in a stack well then you just gave yourself away to the entire enemy team.

Yea. Another overpowered operator and changes to the game that don't "fix" anything. No more 1.5? Its like Ubisoft refuses to listen to the community
He'll be the only "overpowered" attacker, if you even consider him op. No more 1.5 is a good change, as that sight was op.
Ubisoft is slow even for a AAA studio, but they are still listening to the community, it just takes them a long while and they're stubborn. You don't speak for the community, just because they don't listen to you doesn't mean they listen to nobody.
