For those on a budget. I recycle my sunflower plastic container jar. Or any container that can roll. I put some seeds or dried split peas or Cheerios in it and seal up lid. I cut A tiny hole and my pig rolls it around while the treats fall out. Don’t worry if the hole is to big. I just adjust it with some tape to make it smaller. I also do a separate one with bigger hole for cut up carrot pieces. It’s great 😀.she loved it! Just don’t use water bottles. They are too thin now and she will squish it to dearh😂😂
I'm a retired LEO and I've wanted a mini pig for awhile now. One of my daughters just brought me a rescued American Kune Kune. So here's a retired cop with a pet mini pig named Taser. ( I personally thinks it really cool). Can't wait to get him trained to the point that I can walk him into the station and introduce him to the troops. (I was watching it with Oink and when you said Oinkbox, she opened her eyes, perked up her ears and looked around...it was my 1st laugh of the day...lol) I liked that you reviewed pig toys, I’ve always wondered if pigs actually would like them, so I never bought any. I’ve made my own using thick plastic bottles that I cut out little holes in and I fill it with a cup of treats or pellets and let them throw it around, roll it etc.. or I’ve taken a small box and put some treats in it and taped it back up and let Oink at it...that was the 1st time I saw my pigs ability to throw something,and boy oh boy does she have a good arm ,so to say. Recently I found out that Oink loves bubble wrap. I put it on the floor and pop the bubbles with her...she goes BANANAS over it,and there is no food involved. I’ve also hung up a dog toy that was on a rope high enough for them to get to it and I covered it in peanut butter,that kept them both busy for a good 2 hours. Could you do a video about harnesses and products like that? I like to use the dog harnesses that are the “old school style “ not the easy step in ones, those leave sores under my pigs arms. I also bought a harness off of amazon that was supposedly designed only for mini pigs, however, I cannot keep this dang thing from sliding all over Oink and I have to check her neck everyday to make sure it isn’t rubbing sores into her neck, it did do that. Oink is far too girthy for a dog harness now so I’m stuck with this one. I’ve seen an ad on Sharps mini pig site for specifically made harnesses but I’m afraid of having the same issue as I have with the harness Oink already has.
There are so many ways to make your own toys - those all sound like great ideas! Mine are loving all the Christmas gift "trash" right now...the paper/plastic etc... Lol I've had several requests for a harness video...the only thing is I don't really use them! My pigs always come when called around the farm, and outside the farm I'm either holding them or putting them in the stroller, since I do have that fear of strange dogs attacking. Perhaps I'll make a learning experience video :P
We live in the city near a school but the people there are our tipe op people- one has a sheep the other has a chicken and one also has a mini horse, so we are getting a pig that we wanted for a while now. A mini/potbelly pig. (we have a big backyard)

I have a little kuni-kuni mini pig cross and her name is Georgia and she is just a sweetheart she sleeps with me every night. And she lets me know when she has to go potty LOL. I am definitely going to get her some of those toys
That snuggle bed is a MUST for my Wilbur. Hes gonna love it! Thanx for this ill prob get all but the lil pads and the puzzle. Only because Wilbur will just chew the pad up and it doesn't seem like the puzzle will keep him busy for long once he solves it lol. Thanx girl!💁🙌
All of them pile in it each night! There's a slightly bigger one on Amazon, that's PINK, that I'll be upgrading them to pretty soon! I have heard pigs chewing pads is a common issue. Mine never have, thankfully, but just to be safe I use those fake grass pads too.

As always, first advice is consult a vet. If you can't get to a vet some of the things I've tried for pigs that won't eat...mixing low sodium chicken broth with some brown rice. The smell is quite strong and can sometimes convince them to eat. I also like to mix a little pedialyte in their water if they aren't eating/drinking normally to be sure they stay hydrated. Pigs love to eat, so you definitely know something is up if they aren't! Glad she's feeling better!
Also how do you make your pig better behaved or better with people because my pig love me but she doesn’t really like other people to touch her and she doesn’t like the bath and I saw your bath video and your pigs were so behaved and mine screams and tries to jump out
I love the coconut oil on the lick mat I was watching and thinking about ideas other than peanut butter. Totally forgot ab coconut oil tho lol. Can't wait to spoil my girl. She gets a double holiday bc her birthday is on Thanksgiving, and then we give her stuff for Christmas too. Istg it's like having children and I'm only 19🤣
I only got my pig two days ago. Today, he started to attack me. During most recent time- I took him out, he was mid-poop, dropped my phone, he got scared and stopped pooping, he wanted to go back inside, I wanted to stick around so he could poop again, he started to attack me again because I didn't give him what he wanted. That, unfortunately, isn't something that's easily trained, since it's such a natural instinct for them. The best advice is to offer them lots of toys etc.. that allow for them to root on those instead! They do normally stop doing it on human parents as they reach 6mths to a year.

If you don’t care about size I would check local farm auctions and save a meat piglet! They do get quite large though and I’m not sure if they would do well inside. I would also check shelters and Craigslist

Hello! I think a lot of the questions I've tried to do my best to answer in some other videos - if you haven't watched them :) It's impossible to know how big they will get, they are all so different! I would definitely just be persistent and patient in your training. Keep giving baths and and being calm despite his reaction. Corn is not a good source of food for them . It's cheap, but it doesn't provide the nutrients needed AND tends to make them overweight fast. If he itches to the point of creating sores he may have something called pig mites and your vet can treat him accordingly. Otherwise, just be sure he's getting the vitamins he needs and use some pig skin products to keep his skin soft!
This is great. I live off grid in the bush in New Brunswick and had someone abandon a potbelly pig on my property about a month ago and was forced to quickly learn how to care for her. I know by her size and wrinkles etc she’s approximately 3 years old and don’t want her to be bored in my tiny 430 square foot house in the winter. I’m looking for any information I can because I was never looking to be a pig owner but felt bad she was abandoned and is such a good girl. I really appreciate that there’s channels like this for people like me out here. I do have a question. She’s so darn smart. Do you think they would take to learning to converse with the buttons that speak with talking words?

Hi! I have a mini pig And I was wondering if you’ve experienced aggressive behavior with your pigs ? Recently mine has become snippy towards house guest and I was wondering if you had any advice how to correct that. I’ve started by taking away treats unless we are specifically learning going on more walks and outside time but he still seems to be very territorial towards other people. Please let me know if you have any suggestions !
I have two mini pigs. I keep them outside as they are pretty big. My barrow has completely rooted up their pen area. He's an American mini pig. My gilt is half Juliana and half kune kune. She doesn't root much. Is there anything at all I can do to distract him from rooting so much? It's a mud pit out there and I feel awful that they have to walk around in mud. :(
Makes sense, the nice thing about Kune's is that they don't root at all, they just graze! Rooting is a hard habit to break, since it's more instinct than anything else. Just providing places where rooting is allowed is the best we can really do. Encourage rooting in the right places by periodically sprinkling meals there, perhaps?
It definitely can, some of mine do. Just be aware, once you start the habit it's very hard to break it - no matter how they big they get. So if you're pig gets used to sleeping in your bed they'll stand at the side of it and scream to get in when it's bedtime, so you can't change your mind :P They're great cuddlers though and love to get under the blankets!
The sad thing is that i live in svizzerland and that food thing (i forgot the name😂) just shipps in the USA 😭 do you have other request of food that also other ones can have?
My older pig lived in the woods before I took her in. I would love to make her an inside pig but I don't think she would like it. The bed with the cover looks great but she lives outside and sleeps under my deck because it's dry. Is there anyway to waterproof or uses that covered bed outside? As you know, it can get very humid in Georgia during the summer so I don't want mildew issues. We are heading into winter and it would be wonderful to keep her warm but there is the same issue with lots of rain. I worry about putting a heat lamp under my deck because she could be burned or the light would disturb her sleep. Lately she gets under the porch after she eats but since it's gotten colder she gets out and goes to the woods. I pack in Timothy hay for warmth and last year she stayed under it all winter. I am working on a pig pen and will have a large pig house for her and the orphan baby but I want to make sure she is warm until then. Suggestions?
I work at Hooves and Feathers Farm animal rescue, and with all of our pigs, we offer them an igloo style dog house with some straw and blankets and they love staying warm and cozy that way!! :)

I love mini pigs but my mom and dad dont buy mr one they dont even buy me a hamster they hate animals they wand me to buy a parrot but i dont like parrots my mom says shes going to tell dad to buy me one and im so happy for my hamster i think im going to tell them to buy me 3 hamsters wich is more fun and mini pigs and hamsters are the most cute animals !
My parents wouldn't buy me a pet pig either :P I had to wait until I had my own house to get one...now my Mom desperately wants one as well. Go figure!

Honestly how do I get one of these pigs! I’ve wanted one for 12 years now with no luck on finding a breeder or finding a pig that’s in need of a home.
I have a video about how to be selective and find a reputable breeder...but otherwise I don't have any specific recommendations, unfortunately.

I have 1 miny pig it is a inside pig
My older pig lived in the woods before I took her in. I would love to make her an inside pig but I don't think she would like it. The bed with the cover looks great but she lives outside and sleeps under my deck because it's dry. Is there anyway to waterproof or uses that covered bed outside? As you know, it can get very humid in Georgia during the summer so I don't want mildew issues. We are heading into winter and it would be wonderful to keep her warm but there is the same issue with lots of rain. I worry about putting a heat lamp under my deck because she could be burned or the light would disturb her sleep. Lately she gets under the porch after she eats but since it's gotten colder she gets out and goes to the woods. I pack in Timothy hay for warmth and last year she stayed under it all winter. I am working on a pig pen and will have a large pig house for her and the orphan baby but I want to make sure she is warm until then. Suggestions?
I work at Hooves and Feathers Farm animal rescue, and with all of our pigs, we offer them an igloo style dog house with some straw and blankets and they love staying warm and cozy that way!! :)

DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT get the wooden puzzles. Like she said they are terrible to clean. And is they get wet they get like idk how to say it but they get soft and they don’t move anymore don’t get for pig or dog

I love mini pigs but my mom and dad dont buy mr one they dont even buy me a hamster they hate animals they wand me to buy a parrot but i dont like parrots my mom says shes going to tell dad to buy me one and im so happy for my hamster i think im going to tell them to buy me 3 hamsters wich is more fun and mini pigs and hamsters are the most cute animals !
My parents wouldn't buy me a pet pig either :P I had to wait until I had my own house to get one...now my Mom desperately wants one as well. Go figure!
