I didn't like this story..She cheated on him and Gene stabbed him in the back..I wouldn't have anything to do with either of them.This good guy ending is a great disappointment...There is no way I would let either one of them off the hook..Both of them would be dead to me...There would be no come back from that

I think his stories are good, with good plots, but this one was long and had a twist on the ridiculous Hollywood models. The story until the moment of discovering the betrayal of the girlfriend and her friend was interesting and kept me, but at the moment when the guy forgives them both, it failed. Find another woman at the end and even ask the traitor to be godfather? It would be good for you to return to the models of your previous plots. This story benefited the traitors. This ending disappointed me. This one takes the finger down.
Stupid ending- you maybe able to forgive but you don’t leave yourself open to it happening again.
Listened just long enough to get into the real plot (Chase makes Eugene into an alpha), then I started reading the comments.

I wouldn’t want anything to do with either of them after that stab in the back. They didn’t do it in the worst way possible, but it was still a major betrayal. The only way I could respect it is if Eugene had come on his own, man to man and said, nothing has happened, nothing will happen, but I have strong feelings for Mel, and I want you to know if you two break up I will try my best to date her, but in the meantime I will do everything I can not to affect your relationship in any way. Then maybe he could’ve come to the conclusion breaking it off was best on his own for the good of everyone. The way they ambushed him was a losing proposition; they had already discussed and made up their minds behind his back…and that didn’t happen all at once in a night, there was plenty of flirting to lead into that kiss and conversation that they conveniently forgot. So they ambush him, what can he do?…weakly agree and accept it?…scramble and propose to her looking weak and desperate?…or get mad, say fck you, and leave. They are not friends. What conversation did Mel ever have with him saying she wasn’t happy or needed more before she decided to betray him?
I might be able to forgive, but aint no way I'd want either of them in my life. Especially after all I had done to help him... but thats just me

See a lot of people here in the comments saying Gene was a pos for stealing his friend's gf, but these things happen. They fell in love as they got to know each other and Jace never actually gave her a commitment to make her feel safe. So, yeah it hurt and sucks that happened but no one was wrong in that situation. It is good that everyone could be rational about it later, and it doesn't seem like anyone regrets it.
