Oh yes, you asked what do I get for MPG? My 2005 4.2 was getting 17 with normal driving in a mixed city/hwy, I could get almost 20 with more careful diving, the 5.3 Envoy seems to be about the same which did surprise me. Thats going by the onboard display. When filling the tank the actual gallons added is close to what the display says so maybe that is close.
I have a 2002 SLT bought new with 464,000 KM. The most common question I get (From my family) is, "When are you going to get rid of it?" It's been my winter beater for the last 13 years, and remains in great shape. I'm in Ontario, and it gets me and my ski buddy to Blue Mountain, comfortably, safely and securely. I only put about 5,000Kms annually on it, so gas mileage isn't an issue. The strangest issue I had was the dipstick tube rusted out. And non are available anymore. Had to get one out of a junkyard in Kansas.
Hahaha that’s a funny one. Keep driving her, worth it. And honestly never heard about the dipstick rusting out. Hope your envoy gives you great service
Good information, thanks. I recently went from a 2005 Trailblazer 4.2 to a 2007 Envoy Denali 5.3. Still figuring out fuel mileage, early calculations show they are about the same for me. They are hard to find without a ton of miles. I flat tow behind a motorhome.
Nice Envoy!! These trucks are rlly nice. I wish modern suv's were built like these. They don't make them like they used to!
Totally agree. I think the design has aged well
Plan on picking up an 04 slt xuv with v8 for $1k usd tomorrow

Thats awesome, do you get the same range on the 4.2 and 5.3?
