Easy to open drawers Use whatever bins you have Give bulk parts a separate bin Separate printed and stickered parts Sort mini figure parts Keep a brick separator nearby Sort by function, not color Good lighting Good tables
Trying to organize cause I'm not and when I'm trying to build something I'm looking for pieces for too long! 😭. Thank you for these tips!! Love how you have these organized.
Resorted all my bricks yesterday, I also chose to use the function before color. As it's easier to find the right pieces. And also, if you have all red pieces in one drawer/box then it's hard to see the difference between a 1x6 or 1x8 if there are many pieces in the same drawer, but if you only have one kind of piece it's a lot easier to find the red one if there are other colors as well. But if you start to have like 2-300 in one color and maybe 5 or something in another, then they might disappear in the box. but that's another story.
I love the way you organize the legos, I was doing organizing too, but I quit because I don’t have enough room. Until I Found somewhere for Enough Room. I will organize.
Thanks for the idea. I’m trying to build but began to get super frustrated by the way I have them sorted. I currently have them sorted by color but some colors I have so much it takes forever to find the proper block. I would suggest you get a artist flood light and a quilting light the light has multiple levels of dimming good for working at night with small pieces.
Dawg, that's a lot of bricks, like holy crap I don't even have 1/4th of what you have...Very helpful video though for people, not to me because I already do all of that ;)
Thanks. I'm so not looking forward to sorting about 60+ pounds worth of Legos I have stored in a big tote rn, but at the same time I am because I'm wanting to expand my Lego world as it's just a big ship "surviving in the now apocalyptic world" I made up for them lol.
My 5 yr old son is Lego crazy, thank you for informing us how you organize, I shall show ur video to him and kindly tell me where to buy those boxes you use... Much thanks
If you guys like ice cream, you're also able to use those bins made by Kemps that say "family size" on them. Just make sure to wash them out right away when you've emptied it of ice cream because it's annoying to clean if you don't.
i organize my lego parts yesterday and i am not finish yet i'm organizing it because so i build my old ninjago sets i used to play with can't wait to rebuilf them
Ruben Mejia same here! I realized that I had some cool sets that were broken and lost in bins of lego, so I’m sorting my lego bricks by color. Hopefully I’ll be done sorting in a month or 2
This is great for a VERY small collection. As you start getting bigger you're going to wish you hadn't spent so much on those little storage drawers that hold VERY few bricks. They're great for technic pieces and others you don't have a lot of but for more common pieces? With over 1400 lbs and counting, I have absolutely no use for those :( I've run out of room in a lot of my large sterilite three drawer units and have to keep excess pieces in boxes and outside of the collection :(
AussieGuy91 Transport Vlogs most organizers label the Brick type. Though it depends on what you use most often. A UA-cam named LegoSpencer goes into detail about this
Great video, do you have any tips to straighten out thin base plates? I have some which have deformed in the sun? A few heavy books doesnt seem to work, was wondering about heat / pressure? Regards
Akro-Mils. They are similar to stack ones, but cheaper. I have been shopping around a lot and I plan on getting those as well as the 80 cents Walmart plastic shoe box tubs for what you have a lot of, and some kind of Stanly type container with a lid and the compartments that might have seperatable compartments, and maybe removable ones. Sorry, that was kind of a lot of words to digest.
Great tips, just what I need to start sorting! Question, the numbers on the drawers, just to get them back in the right spot or do you have an inventory system?
How i get brick cups? And how can i get 33.5cm x 33.5cm boxes and i have legos so lot that they don't fit maybe in little boxes And i sort by color also

Normally I can’t find the right pieces even tho I know I have them so I end up replacing the brick and the build looks worse than what it could have
@@cctproductions6976 that's exactly what happened to me! 😭😭😭🤣😂🤣 Except I maybe a rainbow colored apple.
@@kulhrada6900 yuppp I'll do the same end up using a 1x3 plate for example when I need a brick and whatever I'm making looks a little off.
Same I want to start lego sculpting
I melt my LEGO down, so it doesn’t take up much space.
good to hear im not the only one
you guys melt it for convenience? i just melt it for fun
I used to melt my Lego but I don't know how to unmelt it so I just throw it out my window, its not the best but it works.
Bro same
Saves a lot of Space I imagine. A huge part of our Lego collection is just air.

damn how’d it go lmfao
Thanks for the tips. I’m trying to get organized
Good Luck Colin Johnson
is there any way you can put the links for the storage units?
I prefer to sort by piece type so no matter what color I know which piece I am taking.

Great video! :D

Thanks for the tips, would you advise labelling drawers for each colour/brick type?
AussieGuy91 Transport Vlogs most organizers label the Brick type. Though it depends on what you use most often. A UA-cam named LegoSpencer goes into detail about this
I have 100,000 pieces sorted by color, think I have my work cut out to sort by function.
Everyone wants different things that's okay
im sorting now but dont have enough tubs
This is so cool and making sense! Btw how do I message you privately?
What kind of drawer is that?
Do you have a specific brand of drawers you recommend?
Organize Lego room, table and/or area for *ease of use* when building rather than for storage or display?
Which drawers do you use
Great video, do you have any tips to straighten out thin base plates?
I have some which have deformed in the sun?
A few heavy books doesnt seem to work, was wondering about heat / pressure?
Regards
I have so much more Lego it’s gonna take for ever
Do you have a draw to recommend for storing your Lego?
what drawer make do you use as i am looking for some to buy?
Akro-Mils. They are similar to stack ones, but cheaper. What are those containers?
I really don't like how all the 2x1s are together regardless of function. yeesh.
Great tips, just what I need to start sorting! Question, the numbers on the drawers, just to get them back in the right spot or do you have an inventory system?
You make cool LEGO trains!
you might have more bricks than me
I want to seperate by color and parts
For example A collection the red snappy thingies
I think all those legos can be a curse and a blessing.
Good Job !!!!:D
Thank you Goober Man Loves MINIFINGERS
What call to that drawer
Where did you get these containers from? Thank you for the great video
Nevermind I'm already getting ads for them
