@patriciasucks I definitely understand how it can get difficult to understand lol. What it comes down to is that "demographic" is not the same thing as "genre". terms like shoujo, shonen, josei, and seinen are only referencing the target audience/readership of a specific manga series and/or the magazine they run in. each of these demographics can tackle all kinds of genres. So for example, you can have a shoujo romance, shonen romance, josei romance, or seinen romance story. Same goes for other genres like action, psychological, etc.
Alr ima stand up for my girl Komi: Yes she gets development but it’s WAYYYY later on (like her 3rd yr) she can actually talk to almost everyone without her notebook now and has started to make a few friends on her own. I haven’t read the newest ch of it but I am caught up. She pretty much meets this one girl in her second yr (vol 10) and she really helps Komi AND Tadano develop. And something happens between them also but I won’t spoil *COUGH KOMITADA… COUGH* anyway after they meet there is more romance such as the 2 trying to ship both themselves and eachother with Tadano (it gets kinda complicated) THIS ISNT MEANT TO COME OFF RUDE but just to put some justice on her. Ps her second yr classmates are a LOT better like most of the girls are moved out and she meets these 2 characters who are also essential to the plot. Anyway, loved the video!

I read far in but not 3rd year far, so I’m just happy to hear that there’s actually growth and character development for our girl komi. I liked it a lot at first! I read super far into the manga, until I got to that Mikey part and got tired of it and dropped 😭 The manga is better than the anime in my option! Hbu, what’s your opinion??
