This is the best cooking video I've seen in a long time...seriously! I could happily sit down to several helpings of this. I've always liked the combo of bananas and curry (don't like the idea of banana on a pizza though). What a great and unusual dish to choose for your first cooking video!!! 10 out of 10!
Wow thanks! I appreciate it! That means a lot!

This dish was invented i 1976 when a weekly magazine had a comptition for new dishes. A man called Ove Jacobson, who worked with airline transportation won the competition with it. Therfore the name "Flying Jacob"
Thanks for the information! That’s interesting. I will forever be grateful to Mr. Jacobson for creating one of my favorite dishes. Thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a great day! 😎 Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼😎
This looks so good, I could see myself sitting down and having several plates of this!!
if you dont like banana you can do what my parents did with me and my brother as a kid, you make one side with no banana when you put it in the oven, that way the youinger kids have no banana and can scope it out easily. Flygande jacob btw refer to a person working in an airfield here in Sweden who sent in a recipe he made on his own to a cooking magazine which became very popular in the 80´s but he sent it in 1976 if I remember correctly.
That’s a great tip and some interesting info! Thanks so much for watching!
I only learned about this recipe yesterday, and I have been obsessively researching it. I’ve seen some variations from the original recipe that seem truly horrible, but I really like that you added the rice to the bottom of the dish. It’s very innovative but it doesn’t lose the integrity of the original recipe. And I like the idea of a little bit of browned onion with the bacon.
Olive Lankin Thank you so much! It was delicious! One of my new favorite dishes!
Do i hear a parrot in the background??
Not that I was aware of… 😂😂😂
