all of the movie options were spot on for what I would choose! 😂 I am currently rewatching the Harry Potter movies because I agree they give holiday vibes
For me, I think ABC Family's constant Harry Potter marathons during the holidays forced the association in my head. It was on like EVERY weekend in December growing up
Love your build and your Christmas movie choices, Kelsey! The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe would have been a great addition to that list
Gremlins is a classic Christmas movie for me. It terrified me as a child but as an adult, I absolutely love it! Muppet Christmas Carol is also another fave of mine 😄
I'm going to need another one of these challenges with the rest of the movies from the wheel! I was waiting to see what the It's a Wonderful Life room was going to be like!
I watched it for the first time with a bunch of elementary kids last year (I worked in before and after school programs in New Hampshire through a daycare) and I thought it was so boring. 😂😂
My favorite Christmas movie, that was not featured on the wheel (which I’m fine with- it’s timeless, much like It’s A Wonderful Life), is Miracle On 34th Street- a gentle soul saves the day as Santa Claus, only to go to court to prove he’s the REAL Santa to a family who doesn’t believe in ‘fairy tales’. ❤️💚🎄
every year we play a christmas story on loop while we open gifts. We also own a bloodhound so when the neighbors dogs show up we are like "Look Truffles! It's your relatives!" Also fun fact Christmas use to be traditionally a time to tell ghost stories so having the first room Nightmare Before Christmas is very fitting.
My family loves the classic claymation movies (Rudolph, Santa Clause Coming to town, and Year Without a Santa) Christmas Story my dad says is his childhood and has lived it lol Santa Clause 1 and 2 classic. My in-laws love Holiday Inn, but I like both White Christmas and Holiday Inn, Muppet Christmas Carol is a good one but last year my hubby and I discovered the musical version and it was amazing! Frosty the ☃️ classic! Also Rudolph has a New Year's movie that's not as popular but I love to watch it near New Year's.
The living room and the kitchen were the best 👏🏻. You really did justice to the Christmas/Halloween vibes of TNBC. I totally see Jack decorating a house like that 😂.
"White Christmas" is hands-down my FAVORITE Christmas movie! And I don't know if Die-Hard is technically a Christmas movie, BUT I love it so it's fine by me! lol. I also love The Holiday, The Family Man (which kind of reminds me of "It's a Wonderful Life"), and Christmas Chronicles on Netflix has actually become a new fave!
I died at the Christmas Story room 🤣 the snow man specifically took me out almost choked on my lunch 🤣 i loved this. Also Harry Potter is for cold weather I love rewatching during Sept-February because its a good movie to cuddle up with someone and watch
Muppet Christmas Carol, White Christmas, and Miracle on 34th St are my go to Christmas movies. I also love the claymation Christmas stories and Charlie Brown Christmas is what I watch Christmas Eve. 🎄❤
I love your movie choices! I’m not a Christmas Vacation fan so I had no problem with that one left out 😂 my family always kept the A Christmas Story marathon on the tv on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, so it’s one of my faves! Another one of my all time fave holiday movies is While You Were Sleeping. Watch it if you haven’t! Noelle on Disney + is actually pretty good, too!
my family’s holiday movie is Christmas Vacation; it’s been a tradition to watch it every year since my paw-paw was raising my mom & her siblings. and it’s funny because he’s a lot like the main character. the man literally works all year and saves his off days until December so he can take 3 weeks off and decorate his entire house. he lives more on the countryside - meaning he owns a couple acres - so i’m talking like handmade wooden reindeers & sleigh, a huge light up ‘merry Christmas’ sign, 10 foot christmas trees made of rainbow lights. he just really gets in the spirit lmao and i admire him for that (:
Die Hard, of course, is a Christmas movie, because it happens at Christmas. Not a so-happy feely movie, but still, yes, a Christmas movie. However, my favorite all-time Christmas movie is Miracle on 34th Street, the 1947 version with Natalie Wood. The part about the little Dutch girl...her face and how she looks...gosh...that scene makes me cry every year, and then he sings a song with her. So wonderful. Yes, I believe! :)
I love Jingle All the Way! I haven't seen it since I was younger though, so I'll definitely have to put it on my list of Christmas movies to watch this year.
@@kelseydangerous it has a surprisingly amazing cast! Rita Wilson, Sinbad, Jim Belushi, even Chris Parnell in a small role! And it was Phil Hartman’s last movie before he died and he really steals the show. And of course it’s Arnold being Arnold so it’s good for 90’s nostalgia vibes 😁
Okay, but like I love the Nightmare Before Christmas, so I’m so happy that it was the biggest room. I think it looks great and is a fun homage to the movie!
i love that the BIGGEST room has to be in your exact opposite asthetic. my goth heart giggles. The tiny Christmas tree i have is Nightmare Before Christmas themed hahahaha
My all time favorite Christmas movie is The Santa Clause. Me and my dad loved Tim Allen. But since my dad passed this past February watching those movies are bittersweet.
Not many people list White Christmas in their holiday movie list! Same as you, Kelsey, my family and I watch White Christmas every year!!! It's our absolute favorite too!!
The Santa Clause is my favorite movie. Close seconds are Noelle, Christmas Chronicles and pretty much all the stop motion ones like the Year Without a Santa Claus.
I loved this so much I had to do it myself 😂😂 I loved how mine turned out too! This is so fun. Anyone who plays the Sims 4 should do this challenge!! Thank you so much for being my inspiration Kelsey 🥰 you make me want to chase the dream of giving laughs and smiles to other Sims creators 💕
I love the build. My favourite XMas movie would definitely be Home Alone. I low-key wanted the exterior to be Home Alone, because the McCallister's house just screams Christmas :D
White Christmas and Love Actually are my most favorite holiday films that I religiously watch every year. Following closely is Elf. But I honestly love everything Christmas so any holiday type movie I will watch!
We make sure to watch Holiday Inn and White Christmas every year. They're so funny! (My brother and I could quote both movies all the way through). Muppet Movie is probably my favorite. Surprisingly, it's one of the closest match to the book I've seen!
No one Kelsey: Oh, you know, we should put a GRAVE. Also the Nightmare Before Christmas dining area reminded me of the dining scene in the Haunted Mansion (which is decorated with Nightmare Before Christmas stuff now), so that's super fitting!
We watch all the classic Christmas movies Miracle on 34th Street the original and remake. Love the Santa Claus movies, and of course The nightmare before Christmas, never seen die hard so I’m not sure if it’s a Christmas movie, but I know it’s a action film.
Favorite Christmas movies A Charlie Brown Christmas, Olive the other Raindeer, It's a wonderful Life, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, love actually, one magic Christmas, a Christmas Story. and It's not Christmas with out the 90's Little Women.
Harry Potter movies (especially the first one) are in fact Christmas movies. No one can change my mind. I think it’s because they were always playing on marathons growing up all through the week of Christmas & New Years. Plus, I saw the first one in theatres in the holiday season (it came out Nov 16 but I’m sure I saw it that timeframe between Christmas & New Years).
You are an amazing decorator and I love these videos! But because you had the whole downstairs as one room and you got one of the 2 most unchristmasy movie it made me sad to not see an explosion of Christmas which is what I really wanted from this video. But it's a good house
Die Hard- NOT A CHRISTMAS MOVIE!! The plot has to be about Christmas to qualify and I feel like it could have taken place on any holiday and still made sense. White Christmas- “I hear it’s beautiful this time of year, all that snow”😂 love that movie
Oohh i love this so much. I also think that the third harry potter and first narnia movies are giving the christmas vibe too hehe. I always watch them on december 😁
Love the Santa Clause room. That’s my favorite Christmas movie, but I also love me a National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. That’s the one my family watches every year 😂😂
I think if my family had a Christmas movie that we watch (almost) every year it’d probably be one of the 3 Santa clauses. I love lil bb Charlie in the first one and him as he gets older and Lucy in the later ones
Ok so Harry Potter is absolutely a Christmas movie (not just Sorcerer’s Stone … the whole lot of them) Die Hard, absolutely a Christmas movie! White Christmas is my favorite Christmas classic and we watch it every year as well ❤️❤️
Okay but could you imagine Christmas Vacation as the exterior?!
Yes! That would be totally wild!
Exactly! And my favorite movie!
that’s my family’s holiday movie lmao
We watch it every year and that would be great
@@user-ko6hc8oo9t Ours too! We also have the board game! Highly recommend
i wish you make living/dining/kitchen as a separate room so we can get more movies but it’s a great build Kels! we love to see it 🌸
Die hard being a Christmas movie is gonna be the next blue dress/white dress frenzy.
It was a frenzy WAY before the dress.
@@kaitlynwilson8397definitely.
I’d dare say that the “Is Die Hard a Christmas Movie” was the OG “dress color” controversy/frenzy.
@@kaitlynwilson8397and also, Die Hard is *definitely* a Christmas movie. 😊
@@ericaschaidt8588 That's a matter of opinion. I haven't seen it so I can't argue nor agree with you.

The downstairs looks like the owner was too lazy to take down Halloween decorations but also wanted to decorate for the holidays.
I low-key love it 😂
LOL

Honestly I'd love to see a whole house. Heck, a whole Bedford Falls!
The Polar Express holds so many treasured memories for me, and will always be my favourite Christmas movie!!
I watched it for the first time with a bunch of elementary kids last year (I worked in before and after school programs in New Hampshire through a daycare) and I thought it was so boring. 😂😂

Yes, totally agree, and the plot line of the original is great of how he proves that Kris is the real Santa Claus.
"Just like Bing Crosby's eyeballs", your descriptions always make me laugh. Love the build, and Die Hard is absolutely a Christmas movie
I love that Kelsey said "Planes, trains and automobiles" in the child's bedroom, which is another Christmas movie haha.
