The part "celebration of my life, no need for condolence" hit me hard. Buried my father 3weeks ago and it has been a though loss for me. But both at my mothers funeral and my fathers memorial we celebrated their life, talked about memories we had and no black clothing was allowed. For me a person isnt really gone until we stop remembering them, they may not be here physically but the ones we lost will always be in our hearts and memories, and make as much of them with them when they are still around. ❤
Sorry for your loss I lost my mom in 2020 and lost my dad at the end of 2022 both age 62 so I get it now we just celebrated them and do things they loved to do as a big family each year .

It's part of the grieving and the first year is always the hardest with the first holidays and birthday without him. But i know it gets better and alot easier with time.
