My condolences. Just learned of Henri’s passing. Thank you for sharing him with us. He was loved and won’t be forgotten.
The entire video is hysterical. I like the part where Henri is sitting on the bathroom scale and wondering why he feels nothing yet his caretakers step on it and they become irrate! Another favorite part is when Henri states"I alone feel this torment." And I'll never understand how Mr. Braden captures Henri turning his head at 1:30.
You are free of torment now, Henri. Rest peacefully.

One more comment. My whole family has always adored cats, including my dear husband. My dad recently suffered a stroke. He started really responding watching Henri and smiled for the first time. I followed Henri back when he made his debut. I would watch for new episodes and share them with my daughter. I recently thought about him and didn’t realize it had been that long. Somehow I remembered the name. I see there were additional segments made. I know you must miss him very much. But you have these glimpses of him! I wish I had videos of all my cats! Thank you and Henri for sharing your story and Henri’s ennui.

I've watched this before and laughed so hard, I cried. Now I watch and laugh while crying. Henri's facial expressions and observations were so like my Figaro's. I miss them both.
The memories they leave with you show just how much of an impact you had on each other's lives. It's why life is meaningful.

Why have I not known of Henri till yesterday?! Compared to everyone else, it seems so late - but as Henri would say, time does not matter. This makes me re-appreciate the French films I used to watch in the 60s, and Sartre and Camus, as well! His "voice" is rich with meaning, the French language only makes it that much better. I love these, have watched all I've been able to since yesterday. Bought the book as well. Henri, vous êtes vraiment genial. Et pas ennuyeux du tout!

I love this beyond words.(I am also, however, slightly drunk!). I have watched this several times over the years, and it still delivers like the first time: I brood, and then openly laugh by the end, alone, in my room. Henri is a sort of Proust meets Camus, wrapped in black. Thanks for that.
