Because you know THE Real Horde, of honnor and glory Is no longer in the Horde. And the Aliance stayed true to themself, and are closer to what you remember of the Horde Before Sylvanas.
Quit at cataclysm haven't missed it. But will say my horde has had one dumbass chief after another (except vol jin) it's not my horde anymore. Kinda cheering for alliance this turn. Maybe bury sylvannas and put a level head in power. Looking at you Baine
I play alliance and still hope Sylvannas burns all the asshole leaders around with their questionable morals doing thee right thing only when it benefits them but judging everyone else.
Poor Jaina. Her only crime was being TOO good, she just couldn't see the Horde for what they were until it was too late. At least she knows better now, Orc Genocide soon.
Her dad just couldn't accept that thrall would have never killed them if he didn't force them to fight. He just couldn't see past his racist hatred of the orcs
You seem to forget how things went back then. Admiral Proudmoore put himself in that position by assaulting the Horde during a peacetime. If Jaina didn't let Thrall defend himself, that would've meant all-out warfare between the Horde and Alliance. And, having witnessed Thrall's honorable deeds by that point, she didn't think it would have been just to kill him. So, she stood by and let them fight, passively condemning the losing party. It wasn't her fault, but her forces would've made the difference, and she ordered them to stand down.
She betrays her father and his men in a mini expansion to WC3, which results in their death. In story it made perfect sense for her to do this as her father and her lacked the man power to actually beat the horde, and the Horde had done nothing to merit the attack. Her betrayal is apparently a major part of why Kul'tiras has stayed out of the story so far.
It's not a matter of an outside view, this song, It's ment to give us a scope of how guilty she felt for her actions. Whether they were right at the time or not doesn't matter. She keeps seeing the things the horde has done, because of their Warchief's decisions.
I think a common theme to this expansion is the question of whether the ends justify the means. Saurfang is what you get when you have a person who stands for their honor, a righteous loser (for now anyway). Jaina was the exact same way. She always did the right thing and, like Saufang, she has paid for it in nothing but bad fortune. They both made the morally correct choices (minus the whole fel induced war crimes for Saurfang's earlier years, but that's ancient history!) and while being right they also both just outright lost. Meanwhile you've got Sylvanas who will do anything to achieve her goals, and in doing that she's mostly won. Sure not always, but she's been fairly successful in her undeath (minus the several times she's died, but that's not as ancient history!). She also sees the limitations others put on themselves in the name of honor and morality as weakness. This is sadly bolstered by both Saurfang and Jaina. The difference is that Saurfang went into despair and looked for a way out that was honorable (to him), Jaina has said 'fuck it' and might be willing to do damn near anything to make the world right in her eyes.
Ok, this is wrong for Tauren Shaman blasting through classic. Maybe works better if I play male human warrior or elf mage or something... Or BFA instead of classic. Switching back to big blue dress! (great song though. :))
Dude daelin proudmoore tried to assassinate thrall and attacked the horde for no current reason.I know horde killed his son and his people in 1st war but it was a new horde and unfortunately he didn't want to see it
I hate Blizzard's writing, and they can't balance a game to save their lives. But damn... do they have artistic talent. They can make some excellent songs.
Looking forward to Saurfang finally picking up the Warchief mantle literally EVERYONE wants him to have after setting Sylvanas and her forsaken-obsession aside, so both parties can realize how dangerous Jaina is becoming. She's approaching proper xenophobia. Horde is Horde to her, be damned individuals.
uh many of those same individuals stood by as theramore was bombed, lied to her face (sunreavers), and left her king to die (broken shore), and now also stood by and participated in the burning of A FREAKING WORLD TREE (one of the very thing she faught to defend in wc3 agaisnt the legion)... Jaina is literally a founding member of the horde, without her they wouldnt exist and would of been destroyed multiple times without her intervention... She has a right to dismantle a horde that no longer stands for the core principle it was founded on...HONOR! And remember Wrynn's last warning to the horde, that if they ever forsake HONOR again, the allaince would end the horde....and I dont know but genociding the NE's and burning a world tree with innocents inside sounds pretty honorless...hmmm
People are fond of dragging up the Broken Shore events, seemingly clueless as to WHY Sylvanas called the retreat of the Horde. I still don't see how noone pointed out Vol'Jin fatal wound to any leading Alliance member. That they didn't "leave the king to die", but rallied to protect their own warchief. Had Varian been lethally injured while the fighting was going, unable to protest, his men, Genn especially, would've pulled him and the allied forces right out of that fight, Horde be damned. Jaina's anger towards the Sunreavers is well founded, as it is towards Garrosh and Sylvanas. Both of them have loyal followers within the Horde that will follow them regardless, but the Old Soldier cinematic is the essence of most of us. Both uses the Horde as a tool towards whichever end they want personally. We didn't ask for the fight, but now that it's here we're not gonna roll over and let the Alliance dictate the Horde. Personally I think if it were up to a vote, Sylvanas would never have been warchief. The Loa spirits(which are central to the current story) told Vol'Jin on his deathbed that Sylvanas had to lead as warchief. Not sure if you've followed much of the Horde story atm, but the Loa's aren't exactly free of influence. Rezan, the former King of Loas, is a prime example. Someone wanted us to spill blood here, and Sylvanas with her greed is a fitting tool.
whats hilarious is the fact the horde still runs under a Dictator system, where one "Warchief" holds all the power and sway over the other member leaders. Unlike the Allaince which is literally an Allaince, and therefore have checks and balances of power. Also as I said the horde deserve their commuppance, for every good deed they perform they undo with thier stupidity and cowardice in not standing up to their warcheif when it matters. If Anduin suddunely went on a genocidal rampage, im pretty sure Moira in IF would smack his shit.
Alliance is led by greed and politics as much as any corrupt system. Anduin is a figurehead who leads in name only. Shaw and Genn pull and push him where they need him to be. He'd still be opposed to Jaina is he wasn't told by his elders how he should react. Horde is led on principles and honor. Thrall led for ages, stepped down to tend to his elemental roots and his family calling. Garrosh could've been worthy of what was entrusted him, but he was too inexperienced and rash to lead. Vol'Jin led the ACTUAL Horde in a rebellion against Garrosh's military rule, just to be shafted by Blizz on the Broken Shore (I swear Blizzard favors Alliance way too much. Malfurion and Magni gets plot armor, while a legendary Horde leader somehow gets backstabbed by a demonic grunt of the Legion? Bah!). And as said, a weakened Vol'Jin has been manipulated to put Sylvanas where she is. Trust me, the Alliance won't be able to take sole credit for removing her from the position of warchief.
