Linking verbs link the subject to its compliment.Compliment can be adjective (predicate adjective)or noun (predicate noun)
Eg- She looks beautiful.
Beautiful is an adjective and look is not showing any action
So here in this sentence" looks " will be linking verb

Mam, a plural noun never takes a verb in V2 form. Correct yourself before teaching on-line.
In the first sentense explaining a transitive verb, you wrote " The dogs bark(s).
Please be keen while you teach.
