Finally got around to doing this. Was avoiding it since there's no way to get all the endings in perfect order and it was confusing to me since asking me to think about anything for more than 2 seconds deals me 643786 psychic damage. Anyway, here's a full walkthrough of how to get every ending, including the secret ending, in Elevator Hitch.
This is actually my favourite Studio Investigrave game out of all the ones currently released in terms of art, environment, puzzle, themes/symbolism, etc. I don't think I'll do Cold Front/Eloquent Countenance since last time I tried to play either it gave me the cold shoulder (haha get it) and lagged so bad I couldn't progress. Either way, Rachel, Rix, and Bell's capabilities really shine through in this gem of a game about capitalism and the reduction of individuality under corporate culture.
Sorry about all the lag and buggy bits by the way, my Mac has this disease where if I run anything that isn't Roblox at the lowest possible quality it starts having a panic attack and then spontaneously combusts.

I got stuck here for a bit, but I managed to get the secret ending in the end. In order to get it, you must see every single other ending in the game. Apparently, Ending 3A doesn't register in the system as obtained unless you specifically choose to feed the mouth something-- you can't just walk in and try to grab the CD. That's why I had to go back and redo that ending. Shoutout to Miles and Fish in SIGcord for helping me with this.

This black screen never goes away. The footsteps never stop no matter how long you wait. Here, the game breaks and you cannot replay it unless you delete it and reinstall the game, even if you reboot it. I've seen people complain about how underwhelming it is, but personally I really love this ending.
Love that the pc holds the rat up to his coworker as the latter is screaming and crying at it. Total meme moment

I think the secret ending implies that even if they ran and try to escape, they couldn't. Explains why the footsteps is being played over and over again like a loop. Im not an expert at this typa shi but according to the "escape", they can't, exactly escape

I hate the implications of protag's situation, with Floor 4 and everything it's obvious he didn't a very good childhood. It's either he returns to that shitty household, he lives homeless or he remains at his job. All of those are terrible options, I feel so bad for the guy :(

The secret ending just feels so... anticlimactic. Just fast foot steps of the two of them running and escaping the place compared to the interview ending where Bryce/your co worker pretty much dies (cause blud just walked off into floor 9 and there's no floors there, and it's confirmed that he is human and can die in multiple bad endings. So safe to say he offed himself at the escape end.)
Personally, I feel that the best end is the secret ending cause the protagonist doesn't have to work on whatever fucked up company this lift is in and the co worker gets to live as well. But the way it was executed was so bad in my honest opinion.
Like you go through all that effort to get the secret ending end by getting all the other endings and all you get is a black screen and footstep sound effects. No credits, nothing. It just feels incomplete compared to the other endings.
@@Cynicalhamptur Mate, you missed the entire point of the game. The whole point is that the protagonist never stops running down the stairs. He keeps desperately trying to escape but never will. The message of the game is the inherent inescapability of corporate culture and life under capitalism. It’s not incomplete.
I see. So that was the point of the secret ending. I was aware that the theme of the game was about how the working environment can be extremely toxic, but I wasn't aware about how it was trying to show the inescapability of capitalism and the workforce.
And I guess I was angry and felt the secret ending felt incomplete because I expected at least a bitter sweet end to the game compared to the "escape" end.
the secret ending just tells you further that they cant escape, and the best results that protag can have is the ending 1 because he can actually exits, just cant quit

Because there are a ton of routes and choices.
It’s a normal thing in studio investigrave games, there’s a ton of choices to choose from-there’s a point in having more than one ending

the last ending is of the two of people "leaving" but its a twisted joke in a sense because its an infinite amount of stairs in other words, they can never leave :)
