Looked fake at the beginning, but when Santa laughed with his characteristic laugh, I know he was real.

The tourist trap is ok if it's done well. High quality images and video with Santa - who looked fabulous and gave nice conversation - worth it!
The first band was Nightwish (with their old singer) and the second one was Lordi (they won the Eurovision back in 2006 if I recall)

It always impresses me how good of a geographical knowledge the Santa has and he also speaks like 10 languages. Even if you do not really believe in him that is damn impressive.

I think it's really awesome that they made it that lot of kids can actually talk to Santa and he knows where they are from.

The band is of course WORLD FAMOUS Nightwish! And those cats in Cat Cafe have been homeless cats and now living in cafe seeking for new home, to get adopted by someone. I think there are such cafe in Tampere, Oulu and Helsinki..

It is kinda sad in a way that it is such a tourist trap. It is also the place where over 500 000 children's letters to Santa from 200 different countries get delivered yearly and they actually read each one. There are some really cool things to see but it is probably a universal rule that such an internationally popular place becomes a bit of a tourist trap every time.
Services ans souvenirs cost, but entering the village and buildings is free.
Yes, you can meet santa FOR FREE, no cost, just walk in and chat with great charecter.. If you want souvenir then it costs..
They read each one... No they don't, they burn them.

It didn't help that I was a super shy kid AND I stopped believing in Santa in 1st grade. The 1st video my parents ever took of me was as a 1-year-old screaming on Santa's lap. Aww, but this seems like a sweet Santa. Love his get-up. Good job, you did great. 😆👍

Yeah, he was fussing with his hair the whole time. He probably wasn't even aware of it.
Before he watched the video he said to me "You know, I think I was playing with my hair a lot". Then he counted each time as he watched the video and it was around 70-something, haha.

Despite the fact that it's a tourist trap, it didn't seem ill intentioned and Santa seemed really engaged and into his job. Compelling conversation too. 50 bucks isn't that steep if you're not on a budget.

In finland santa actually visit every house christmas eve and share presents! Back in days if you were naughty santa only give willow sticks which we called "vitsa" or "piiska" because older days tradition was naughty kids whipped those they bare bottoms so you were extra nice before christmas.

Santa Claus or Joulupukki as he is known in Finland merely does his public appearances in Rovaniemi. His actual workshop is located within Korvatunturi guarded by Finnish Border Guard. Only by coincidence as Korvatunturi is on Fenno-Russian border. In short: you are not getting there to spy on Santa's secrets.

I visited Santa Village in Rovaniemi in August, there was no snow then, it was bizarre having the piped Christmas music in August. I didn't visit Santa, it would seem a little awkward/ childish. I did take my photo straddling the arctic circle...

Hi Gabriel, that was interesting of course meeting Santa Claus would have to cost something not like growing in most major American cities where you meet Santa Claus in some department store, and he would ask you what do you want for Christmas? And afterwards give you some soft of gift. Talk about commercialism such stark contrast. You still could snowmobile or luge downhill somewhere.

Yes. It's Finnish band called Nightwish. They are really popular. Not only in Finland, but also all around the world.
They have made many many masterpieces. I recommend to listen "The Poet and the Pendulum" and "The Greatest Show on Earth". Quite long songs, but those are my favourites.
