Claudia was a phenomenal character from start to finish and both Bailey and Delainey were absolute powerhouses who stole every scene they were in. While I knew she was going to die, her death was devastating, especially when she looks back to Lestat and he looks so... haunted. Even though they both hated each other, they were father and daughter, and I don't believe Lestat truly wanted her to die. Unfortunately, he could only save one person and it was always going to be Louis. When Louis and Lestat reunited later on, I sobbed seeing how heartbroken it had left Lestat, knowing that his actions lead to the death of Claudia and Louis trying to kill himself. He's not a good person by any means, but seeing someone like him show true remorse had me in tears.
Choosing to end this on Lestat's line of, "You will regret this for the rest of your life," is GUT WRENCHING but I absolutely love it. Beautiful edit, absolutely my favorite one I've seen that includes Claudia!
Oh, Claudia. 😢 What a beautifully complex, tragic, and defiant to the end character. I'm so glad that someone at least finally chose her in the end, even if it doomed them both.
oh this reopened that deep wound that I buried when Claudia died. Its so beautifully painful. Mitski with the tragedy that is Louis, Claudia and Lestat, just a glorious heartbreak
