Electric EEL Flight Over Maui - Ampaire Hybrid Electric Aircraft

Ampaire, an electric aviation firm, is flying its Electric EEL aircraft from Kahului to Hana and back again, the 20-minute journey over the island of Maui powered by a single electric charge. First flown on Nov. 22, the Electric EEL is now making the trip regularly in a month-long demonstration program.

Good thing you retained the rear engines exhaust stacks. They look the same as the ones on my 1968 C-337. It's only an electric flight if the only power sources is........well electric.

Why the increased cooling ducts? Electric Hybrid with gas engine should actually have a smaller engine. Less cooling drag. The aft engine on a 337 can be more efficient but adding all the pitot scoops and cowl flaps to cool the engine destroys any benifits.
