Just ordered our 24' X 32' cabin. We are so excited. I will post a video and our local paper will do a story. Thank you for making these so affordable.
How do the ribs connect together? Are they welded together later? What’s the R-Value of that insulation? Does it also act as a moisture barrier as well? Did you add more insulation later? How do you guys connect the frame to the wood floor? And do you add any type of caulking/glue in the seams of the base? Sorry for all the questions.. I agree with others that there needs to be more videos on building..my wife and I are very interested in these and would feel a lot of more comfortable buying them if we knew exactly how to build them before purchasing.
The ribs are attached at the ridge beam and base plates with self tapping screws. The R value of the one layer of installed insulation in this video is R12.5, with both layers that we sell, it would be a total of R25. It has a moisture barries on one side and radiant on the other. The base plates that run the length of the arched walls bolt to the founadtion. Caulking/glue is not necessary but you could if you wanted to. More videos are coming!
Check regulations as some places will not allow you to live on rvs on your own property. These rules could impact how you would use one on a skid. God bless.
We've been thinking of building a gothic arch bow shed but like the idea of the metal bows . We will be in touch soon and your just a little south of us win win !
Sorry for the last question. I just read some of the previous comments and se that you actually sell the insulation. I would be interested in possibly purchasing some if you're still selling the product. Thanks!

The 24x32 completely done, with a fireplace and loft, shipped to birmingham would be around 32000. Im not affiliated with arched cabins. I just did the math with the information listed on their website and got an estimate.
Pat Anderson Smincey 93 is right. There is a range but to get a 24' x 32' Arched Cabin roughed in would be between $30,000 and $40,000 depending on upgrades.
I know that it comes 24x30. Do you have it a little bigger in length? Like 60 perhaps. Does anyone do the plans I saw inside as well? I just love what I saw with the one you posted
Our longest Arched Cabin right now is 40' and we are not currently looking at going much longer but we are constantly improving and expanding options for our customers!
Do you have pictures on an example how one is set up for a two bd. inside? If not a two bed,one would be fine. It's going into the mountains of PA. And would need to put a stove in it.
Rosa Quintana Hi Rosa! Our website has pictures of a few different build processes, including a 24x32, which will easily fit 2 bedrooms. Visit us at www.ArchedCabins.com and let us know what you think!
Joshua Fowler Hi Joshua! The Arched Cabin kit cost for a 40' long cabin depends on the width. Our largest cabin is a 24x40 and is currently priced at $12,800.
I keep seeing the term "roughing in" but I am unsure what that entails exactly. Could you please elaborate what this means? For example, is it just dry walling the interior, or does it include other things like bathrooms, staircase, or kitchen area?
+Bill Nye Our build team can complete a full exterior rough-in, which means you'll have a weather-tight cabin when our crew leaves and can complete the interior however you'd like.
Is this something that is built on site or delivered prebuilt? A friend of mine is having trouble getting a prefab house delivered down a rd that isn't state maintained (they must have all their neighbors sign legal papers saying they will help pay to repair the rd if something happens but they can't get the signatures) so I'm hoping they could get a cabin kit and assemble it onsite.
We'd be happy to speak to y'all! We do deliver kits that can be assembled on site! Send us an email at ArchedCabins@gmail.com to get a conversation started with us, and thank you for thinking of us!
None of our kits come with materials for the lofts. You can buy those materials from any local build supply store and it saves you on extra shipping costs.
Wit 222 Our cabins are currently rated for 30 psf snow loads and 150 mph wind speeds! We're having them tested for heavier snow loads and stronger wind speeds as we speak, and will update our website as soon as those numbers become available. www.ArchedCabins.com. Thanks for your interest!
WOW . I am impressed. How do you keep the house warm with little to no insulation? You have a great product. I can see this a wonderful goal for young adults just starting out with a little land.. and good for us older farts needing to down size. lol
Has anybody built one of these on blocks of stryrofoam with some kind of telephone poles on either end to keep it in place.. i have a friend who's house keeps getting flooded.. this looks light enough to be supported on dock foam blocks to avoid water damage..
Arched Cabins They don't seem to want it elevated, but floatable. The poles are to keep it in the same location with it rising/floating with the water, much like a spud barge is held in place yet rises and falls with the tide.
That's an excellent question but laws vary by locality so your best source of info is your county or city tax office website. This also applies to how many square feet a structure is before you have to apply for a building permit.

Not a very good step by step video. Need the side rail application, do kits come with base already welded, windows, and door installation. Are areas between outside corrugated roofing sealed for moisture inhibitors?
We are working on getting more videos out to cover all the things. This is just meant to be a general overview. Please follow us to see all our past videos and new ones coming out. To answer a few of your questions, Arched Cabin kits include a build manual, floor plates, ribs, ridge beam, standard R22 insulation for the arched walls(R33.6 with the insulation upgrade) , metal roof paneling, rubber trim and foam inserts to use by the end caps, touch up paint, and color coordinated fasteners needed to assemble the cabin. @ArchedCabinsLLC are the holes pre cut on the cabin for the screws?
Brilliant! Love that it's on a skid (good for property taxes).

This is great! I could easily live in one with a wood stove.
Hello,
Thanks for the video.
What kind/brand of insulation did you use and are you happy with it after living in you home?
Thanks for you time.
Sorry for the last question.
I just read some of the previous comments and se that you actually sell the insulation. I would be interested in possibly purchasing some if you're still selling the product.
Thanks!
We do not sell insulation separately from our kits. Email me at info@archedcabinsllc.com and I can give you the info on where to buy.
Super cool but how is it secured to the ground? One large gust of wind and I see this turning into a tumbleweed...
Our kits attach to your foundation, which is very secure.
What kind of material is the arches made from that the metal panels are screwed to?
They are steel 2x2 inch square tubing that are 14 gauge.

Is there a 1 inch gap between insulation and panel?
No there is no gap.

I’m in search of these metal ribs.
I’d like to build a 24’ or 25’ X60 bldg. like this.
Great idea.

I'm buying this model lol God I love it well I'll need the 2 bedroom one but still lol
Thank you for your business!
Is a higher R factor insulation available? Or is it spleen cancer for me with spray foam in Arizona?
Thank you for watching! Yes, we have an insulation upgrade that will take the R value to R25.
