That was a great road trip! Thanks so much for sharing it with us! Been following you since Springer. Have a beer; as Jimmy Buffet said, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere". Be safe, please keep posting. Zhivago
Of course. I so enjoy your adventures. I live a similar lifestyle. Some people admire this lifestyle and others don’t get it. You make me very proud. I love your sense of realness you project. Just being you means so much to us 🫶🏼
What a stunning finale to an incredible road trip. You still got your trail legs Ranger. 💪 Thank you so much for creating and sharing your experiences with us! 🌲🏕🌲✌️
Great finale Maddie. I hope the next great adventure is not too far off. Perhaps you can fill in with some stuff you and Smoke do locally. For now I will begin watching your AT journey again. Than you and take care.
Good ending sequence! I really enjoy your sketches, and blending that with scenes from your adventures was great! I’m glad to know that you will have some down time now to chill and think about it all.
Great video series thank you! Maybe for the next trip do it in spring or fall so the temperatures are easier on you. You really worried me with the high temperatures, I don't know how you slept comfy at night with the summertime heat :o)
Definitely! I worked in Colorado for two summers and other trips out west during summer always been cooler than back in the Kentucky/Indiana area, but I guess those were just because of where I was or luck!
A what we call, “younger person” of your generation saying “ I hate that everything is on line these days“. THAT is something I never expected to hear !! My husband and I and I lost it 😂😂😂😂.. ❤love you Maddie ! Thank you ! Absolutely gorgeous filming and editing ! When you get to be our age, and you try a new “ drink” or supplement on a daily basis your first change in behavior you are ready for is not change in “focus “( pretty hopeless at this point ) but it’s your # of and type of trips to the bathroom 😅😅
Loving that MN hand towel hanging out in the van. 😉 Curious of what brand of hiking shoe are you wearing? They look similar to the blue ones from the AT. They look so comfy! 👍🏽✌🏽
Originally, I was going to go to Eagle Wilderness and Oneonta Gorge, but after Yellowstone, I got sick of driving all day, every other day, and rearranged some plans to rive less. Maybe next year, I'll do the PNW and northern California. Unless another long trail calls my name!
Almost every trailhead has the right of way diagram on the reader board. It's too easy to get wrong. I guess folks just don't think it applies to them.
I agree with the Recreation.Government website dumb!!! if there's a gate letting people in they should give you a permit. I have reservations before didn't like the extra fees. If people don't show up they have wasted a camp site that others could use. Arrg maddening.
If permits are just based on getting there first, there’s gonna be a lot of people driving all that way just to have to turn around, though. While I wasn’t happy about it because I didn’t know all the info ahead of time, I understand why it’s like that in the grand scheme of things
WOW! Maddie that was a great series!! Congratulations and thank you so much! Also
Aww thanks so much! :)

Aw, thanks so much! I really appreciate that!

Glad you liked it! I had the idea halfway through the series and I've been so excited to finally use it!

Sad day in this house. Hopefully this video turns the day around. Let's Go!
Aww I’m sorry to hear that, Juke. You always brighten my day and I’m sad to hear yours has been darkened. Hope everything turns out okay in the end! 🤍
Hugs to you 😢
Thanks for sharing your adventures with this mostly couch potato.
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it!
14:47 So typical of Colorado: mountain road twisting and turning, no guardrails.
Heh heh as a NJ flatlander I noticed that 😅
Gorgeous!
Lovely! Glad some other folks were out to see it too :)
I'm glad you got there before they drained it. They do so every fall.
They drain a lake? You sound like you’re for real, but I also feel like you might be pulling my leg?
@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces it's true, I don't know why but I was sure bummed when I was there late.
You put together a great vlog ! And the map with your trails ❤ .. have a coffee on us ❤… ps what water shoes are u wearing at the rock slides?
Thanks so much!! The water shoes were seekway brand in their "sport" style
@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces ty!

That was a nice trip
Well done.
What's next?
The plan right now is a few one-off adventures around where I live, and then a shorter road trip in New Hampshire and the surrounding areas
So much snow remaining, when was this?
I think she was there this past August ish ?
July 13!
Sooo close to Oregon.. but not😢

@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces .. I hear ya.. Oregon beer rocks, also👍💜👍

Thank you, it really was!
It gets a lot worse. Revel in your youth,
I try!
