    The 2024 US Open main draw runs from August 26 - September 8 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 144th time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Serbia's Novak Djokovic and United States' Coco Gauff claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title and Gauff’s first Grand Slam title.       FR also has long 10 minute highlights but they do them via partners in each region instead of their own channel.

    Popyrin executed his game plan properly. Djokovic still has game but there are lots of young talents popping up who are hungry and this will become more and more of a challenge.

    Yes Djokovic is now 37 and age is always a factor BUT make no mistake about this. Popyrin played his best ever tennis to beat Djokovic here. No fluke. Some incredible defense and offense combo.

      Popyrin displayed a level i truly didn’t know he possessed.

    Popyrin showed how you have to perform against Djokovic to win. He showed no fear, he was even overconfident and with his primal scream it was clear even to Djokovic who was boss today.

    Watching Novak full bodied almost in the air strokes on service returns takes a lot of energy from you. Still nothing compares with those battles with Nadal, they are something special. 😕

    37 is an important number in mens tennis . That's when lots begin to decline in form. But at World number 2 , Novak has done tremendously well to reach the Wimbledon final and win Olympic Gold Again his number 2 in the world and 37 years of age and 3 momths old . Goat.

    Don’t know why but when I see Novak got defeated by Poppy it gives me Joy. Maybe Novak was/is still an arrogant guy that disrespected to many players. Federer and Nadal don’t really like him not because he won 24 GS but because his behaviour the way he acts and talks.

    It seems to me like Novak wanted to lose. He played very bad, too much slices(he uses it very rare), very short game and all game he only defended. He even didn't grunted during the match and it's really strange

    To those who say Djokavic didnt play well, technically, no one that loses plays well, thats one reason they lose. Every sport involves one player or team playing well and the other not at their best. This goes for every opponent Djokers beaten as well.

      Not true. The reason the Big 3 dominated was their ability to win matches against likes of Popyrin even when not playing well + their ability to raise their level when needed. There are countless examples to this.

      Well, Djokovic said point blank, "I didn't play well." I thought he played well and he just got beaten fair and square. Perhaps too Djokovic's conditioning isn't what it used to be and he knows it. During the off-season he may double down to reach his peak again. Only he can decide this.

    Of course he probably can win another slam. But, this is obviously clearly a far worse situation for him than when I & even McEnroe presumed Fed wouldn't win another a decade back. He'd literally have to break Rosewall's record as oldest male winner now. He's clearly not favourite at any slams now. To state the obvious.

    Djokovic didn't prepare well, hasn't played a single match on hard courts prior to US Open, obviously he doesn't care that much, these days his "strategy" has been, the less hard work the better at the same time hoping to take as much as possible in terms of results. But it doesn't work that way, not even for him.
