And the Dance im doing is POPPIN!!!!
Two years ago, I found this of Poppin John.
It was what prompted me to start to learn to dance. Amazing!
This guy is old skool kept to the roots, as a fellow body popper I appreciate what you do brother you make me wana dance

Poppin John.. When I die I wanna be you in my next life.. I used to POP when I was young. My age is the age of the legends such as, Shabadoo and Boogaloo-Shrimp.. They are in their respective 50's and, so am I.. I have never stopped popping even after a spinal injury..
Watching John Pop, literally fires up my CNS and I sweat after each episode.. Keep me alive John.. I am currently with a drop foot syndrome..
I was there when break-dancing birthed in the 80s, and I am so glad to see it still alive. John you are great, so creative! I told you to shut up like 4 times, exemplary moves!
Best popper I've ever seen in my life
I come from the pop in and locking error. And popin john is one of the baddest and world best dancers i have ever seen. The guy is smoother than the rippling water. Stay doing your thing john
poppin john is unique in his own style, he gets better every time i watch him, there is no need to compare him with other dancers coz there are many styles and this is his style which is dope for me !!!!
I watch him very often too, but never has he bored me. And I'm the kind of person who easily gets bored.
Mastering a few moves so impeccably that you produce the best effects takes precedence over showing many different moves. The best dancers almost always have one or a few predominant moves that they've mastered. The idea that Poppin John's dancing is 60-70% waves is perfectly fine, if not ideal, because he's an expert of the move.

The thing that impresses me about popping john is his extreme musicality through his waves, some people put the beat on the hand and go to the down beat when they hit the other side, but popping john hits the beats with his various stops through the wave on the way down.

WTF ! Mindboggling ... one of your best routines, no doubt.
I love how he married his roots of funk with the modern styles of popping in the dubstep and modern music genre, his iso's were impeccably clean and musicality and groove were captivating, such skill. Just goes to show you how important old school popping is( not that great dancers havent come from anything else but that but) it really gives an advantage when you have that skill.

Ive been watching poppin john for years and I dont think he has ever been givin the true credit for his skillz...sometimes and it does happen that your sooooo good that people just pass you off .....why I dont know but poppin john is a beast at poppin if there ever was one til this day I have yet to see someone with his move and consistant rythm and flow of dance and competing....great video

I see a lot of comments about the style of dancing John does. To be correct: he is doing isolations, liquid, waving, echoing, tutting, dime-stops, strobing and speed control. Those are all concepts and techniques within the dancestyle we refer to as popping, but they are not seperate dancestyles! Trust me, I've been popping for 4 years now.
Though you could debate if he's really popping, because he doesn't seem to make a lot of 'hits'. In my opinion it still is.

It feels weird watching poppin videos knowing how to pop and do moves from different foundations now. I just can't see the illusion to it no more. Poppin John your still dope as hell though. Keep on motivating!
Actually, the correct term for it is called "Funk Styles" Popping is a move within the Funk Styles genre of dance. Popping, Tutting, Strobing, Gliding, Waving, hitting, locking, looping, twisting, etc.. Look it up.

Groundmoves(breaking), popping, locking, tutting, waving, ticking, liquid, gliding, digits, and that's all I can think of right now. I thought poprokz comment was pretty accurate. Not very many can do all of these things, most people have different combinations of them mixed together. But, putting popping in the title probably gets more hits, since people who aren't familiar with the details call it all popping.
Out of all dubstep poppin videos, you have surfaced to put all the other guys behind first place. Haven't seen anyone move within the actual beat with that much detail.
In other words, amazing and impressive! Awesome job!

Dubstep is not a dance style, is a music genre. Clarified this, then we back to what is important: his technique es becoming cleaner, maybe the cleanest is the bussines; his waves, robot moves, strobin´ and so many other aspects are just insane. His movements are so clean that you can´t understand them. Big complements to this great popper because is great watching him doin´ his work.

im not sure if you know but poppin john is one of the best in the scene of popping and being slow is one of the foundations and lastly popping and bboy is free interpretation to the dancer themselves so it may be hard to critique. im not trying to start a fight lol
