I’m wondering if the scat came back stolen or had fake plates that didn’t match in the database. Nobody would pull over, let them get your plates crisp on cam, and then run like that if their plates could be linked to them. Running from police in heavy rain at over 140 mph+ is a death wish. I am suprised they didn't slip and end up crashing. I have seen normal cars just slip and crash at 50 mph despite going in a straight line in heavy rain.

There is no justification for the officer to continue this pursuit based on the road and weather conditions plus, the fact that he does not have the violator in sight. This is not a generally accepted pursuit practice and his continued actions only puts himself and others in unnecessary danger.
What justified running causing the entire thing? Stop sticking up for criminals. This same channel will be on here the next day talking about someone that got their car stolen. If they never chased anyone, they would just steal everyones cars.
