There are some reasons for and a lot against a top rear mounted engine. Most are advantages of a rear engine like less cabin noise, cleaner airflow over the main wing, lower landing gears, etc. However, the center of gravity is farther back, creates an asymmetric thrust, bad flow characteristics on tail controls, etc. There's a reason few aircraft are configured like that lol
I study mechatronics and aeronautical engineering. Having the propeller on top of the plane in front of a T-tail sounds like an absolutely awful idea. Not only do you have prop wash acting on your control surfaces, you also have a massive nose down moment due to the propeller being above the center of gravity. The whole point of a T-tail is to have clear air for control surfaces. What an abomination.
