I like how Gavin basically has 2 modes when it comes to these races. The "I'm gonna DNF anyway so I'll just mess around" mode and the "I win" mode, there's very little in between.
The funny thing is, Gavin and Alfredo are capable of winning, it's just they sometimes get fucked, have bad luck, or just make a mistake, Lindsay is just bad (But endearing) , and I would never want Geoff to win anything ever
I always get a kick out of videos with Lindsay, because the contrast between the chaos of the other racers and her calm leisurely drive in 6th always makes me laugh.

She seems to drop off very quickly in the races, and just disappear and go silent. Then, she's pretty much just gone from the action and doesn't join in on the banter, except to make 1 or 2 kinda awkward comments before going silent again. If her banter and commentary was better, it could balance out the gameplay, too. I feel like if she is going to keep being in videos, Michael should try to help her in downtime to get a better handle of the game. Because, half the fun is seeing how everyone messes with eachother during the race, and Lindsey can't do that if she is multiple checkpoints behind and just doing her own thing.
Also, Lindsay, I love you but how did you not finish ONE RACE 😂😂 That last race was amazing. I loved when Gavin realized that he was going to lap Lindsay.
Jeremy and Trevor finally figured out that the best way to race in GTAV is to draft one another until the end. It nets you a higher average speed than your vehicle's top speed and is the only way to catch people of equal skill in the same vehicle when there isn't rubberbanding as well as being the best way to outrun rubberbanding when there is. Amazing it only took four years for someone at AH to figure that out, I still regularly have to explain it to people when racing in GTAV.
It's really hard to defend Lindsay when she gets zero points in a fucking 50 minute GTA video... I mean why even play at that point it means absolutely nothing
I really like how Gavin has come into his own lately and vastly improved in races. It seems like the crazier and wackier the races are, the better he does. I guess normal races just don't manage to keep his attention.
Jeremy became a Rocket voltic 1 min 44s into the race (44:13) and was finished that section by 2 min 22s (44:48). So that section should take about 40 seconds to do. At 44:45 Lindsay becomes the Rocket Voltic (2 min 16s into the race). At 48:04 Gavin (2nd lap) sees Lindsay (still 1st lap) ahead of him STILL in the Rocket Voltic just finishing that section 5min 37s into the race. Lindsay spent 3 min 21s finishing a section of the race it took most others around 40 seconds to finish. What happened in those tubes?! It took Jeremy 3min 18s to finish the entire first lap (45:45 He can be seen ahead of Jack). Michael in 5th began the 2nd lap at 3min 26s (45:53)
Watching Lindsay play GTA is like trying to teach your grand parents how to use a computer, you want to have patience and understand they are doing their best, but you can't help but get mad at how inept they are.

I remember back when GTA V first came out and I use to hate when they would bring out a racing video, but about 2 years ago I started really enjoying them, and to this day they are my favourite type of GTA videos. I can't tell if my tastes just changed over time, or if they made these videos so much that I just kind of got use to them.

Im fairly unfamiliar with how gta works but enjoy watching the races. Why is it sometimes a different car of the same exact type is just faster and easily overtakes the other person, like with trevor passing jeremy then jeremy speeding up and overtaking trevor again(around 23:00)
That's a combination of two things: one, a car directly behind another will trigger a "slipstream", where the trailing car gets a temporary speed boost to overtake. Two, cars in lower places will be faster overall if "catch-up" is on, so that a player that gets behind early still has a chance.
About all the Lindsay hate, let me try to explain it for those who complain about it. Although I shouldn't have to, you've seen the video, you know how she plays video games. I highly doubt that most commenters really hate her, they just don't want her in these types of videos anymore. And is that really that unreasonable?
