I'm giving you a medal for making TM adapter for screen! When I download it, I'll tip you for sure! Big thank you!
Wow, Great work!
Thank you :)
excellent video!
Great work Piotr! Love it :)
thanks mate, wouldn't do it without you :)
@@petermakesthings7342 of course you would ;)
Fantastic.
Hi Peter!
Great vid, it works like a charm with Assetto Corsa. However, I have one slight issue: I use a 3 digit 7-seg display for the gear indicator. I tried to use the middle digit do display the current gear, but when I'm in first or fourth, the middle digit goes dim, and the first digit ( whose cathode is floating ) and the second digit BOTH display the current gear. Do you have any idea how could I fix this?
Thanks in advance,
David
The D out is if you want to add more LEDs ,you just connect the right side ( GND, DOUT, 4-7VDC) of the first board to the left side of the second ( GND, DIN, 4-7VDC) . You can add a few together like this. I have a total of 32 LEDs 4x 8 LED units.
BTW I have used an old smartphone as a screen this is conected via the web browser to SIMHUB wirelessly with wifi but the arduino is still using a USB cable to drive the LEDs
thanks Edwin, and yes I'm aware of this, but the design utilises only a single 8bit board therefore I just pointed out to viewers who are not particularly familiar with electronics to use din rather than dout :)
how do you connect 2 display and the leds if there are only 1 port for alimentation, the 5V
Do you know how to change the display of the gear selection in SimHUB for American truck simulator? My dashboard displays gears 1 through 18. I want it to display L4 to H4 I know it can be done. I don’t know the script. Thanks for your help.
Ciao Peter very good job! I have one question. I've tried to do a similar project with simhub and Arduino, but in a first try I connected the +5V of Arduino to feed the RGB Leds exactly like your scheme, but it was not working for me; the LCD was working but the RGB leds not. Maybe I made some mistake, anyhow then I tried to connect the +5V for the RGB leds from another power supply source and this worked. So now I modified the normal usb cable estracting the +5V and the GND before entering the mini USB of Arduino and connected this +5V and GND to the RGB leds, and it is working. I was misleading by some other article on internet saying that Arduino +5V has not enough power to feed the RGB leds; what do you think?
I have a dashboard display where arduino is powering 32 leds and a Nextion screen without any issues so arduino can definitely do that, maybe the one you used was faulty or you got a 3.3v version?
Peter, great work! Would you mind to share the design in an editable form, so I could extend it to use 32 LEDs (16 for revs, and 8+8 for flags and other info)? Thanks!
added a .step file to thingiverse, have fun :)
@@petermakesthings7342 thank you so much !!
Hey dude can u help me.. I have bmw e36 cluster which working perfectly with BeamNg but I want one more arduino to connect with simhub for gear display in this case arduino nano and for cluster I using arduino uno.. now problem is cluster dont work when i connect display and when i connect cluster than display dont work.. How to use multiple arduions I have tryed out many solutions but it dont work
Scusami il display sette segmenti si può collegare con Arduino nano?
Hi Peter, great vid. I got the leds working great but had problems with the 7 Segment display. It seems to be working as I get 4.6v at each segment when it should but no display. I check the specs and it needs 6-7v to function. Can I increase the voltage output of the arduino? BTW I’m using a nano.
Cheers
Paul
I have the same problem. How did you solve it? And how do you manage the 7segment on sim hub?
Thank you very much for everything, specially the detailed seven segment wiring. But you forgot to show how to setup the gear indicator in simhub :(
Awesome work..!
Is it possible for you, to make a simple GoPro Mount for the Front Cover of the Wheel?
This would be the perfect mounting solution for a Fan ( Windsimulator ).+
Greetings Manic
don't really have any gopro mounts at hand to it as a reference, but working on a different way to have the fan(s) mounted, stay tuned :)
Is it necessary to use that specific lcd or are there other optiond? Thanks in advanced
I designed it to work with a specific display, but any 2004lcd will work with simhub as far as I'm aware
SE PUEDE USAR CON ANDROID Y A LA VEZ CON ARDUINO EL SIMHUB
how simhub communicates with gear indicator. Is it wifi, Bluetooth or USB cable connection?
usb
Hi Peter I need one of them bracket that you made can you make me one and Im willing to pay.
Mi diresti come collegare il display ad arduino?
hi where did u make scheme thanx
sorry not clear, all the schematics are in the video
@@petermakesthings7342 i mean in what program u created it :D because is so cllean
@@MrDjrmx heh, ok sorry, I used lucidchart
Omg.
