If the golf teaching community would get on board with this method, the industry would have a much better chance of growing the game. Much easier to learn and execute.
Would it? Imagine if people were content with their equipment, if their game was so satisfying it wouldn't matter if the industry brought out 500-yard driver or a new carbon fiber wedge... Just 🤔
4-5 years I a tried this system but gave up on it for whatever reason, but last week I decided to try again after a frustrating season and turning 70. After watching these videos again I decided to try it again without any practice and had my best ball striking round of the year by far ! Didn’t score that well ( 91 ) but my short game sucked but hit every fairway with the driver and hit some iron shots that really shocked me., My confidence is back
This technique has helped me hit the ball solid like i have never hit before ! Nice crisp descending shots through the ball ! Absolutely amazed !!! Thank you
ive been seeing Jim's videos for the past 3 years - was always curious - but never really bought into it. Playing off a 4 - so I have some idea of how to swing a club. The past 2 weeks - I've been struggling with driver consistency - so I went to my sim room - opened up UA-cam and watched "how to stop over the top" video of Jim. Tried it - and was pleasantly surprised at how applicable it was. Went off to the course after lunch: 10/10 for the driver 2/2 of the 3 wood. 14/18 greens in regulation Shot 36/37 (with one three putt and one skulled bunker shot). All i had in my mind was "you never achieve power with an open shoulder" so I preset with a 'closed' shoulder - let my left arm swing (I've always been a lead hand dominant player anyway) and kept myself 'behind the hit'. Pleasantly surprised. I'll see in the next few rounds how this will progress - but I'm happy to see that it works - not only for the irons - but also for the driver.
He tells you start from the green back bump and runs half 3 quarter once you get that he builds you up to the full swing I have taken lessons before no one ever told me to start from the green back to the tees jim does
Keep safe Jim I am from New Zealand and we have just come out of lock down and back to golf u guys don’t seem to be taking it seriously even though u have passed the 100,000 deaths this pandemic will get worse ,good to see u appear to be in self isolation .
I've been working on this for several weeks and recently started leaving my shots to the right? Is it possible Im taking the club outside and/or staying to far behind the ball at impact?
Is it fair to say that to achieve your set up position you set your weight on your left side ( lead side ) and lean slightly onto your knee ? Watching in 2d obviously and that’s the impression I get. Love your videos and style of delivery.
I Tried this in nets seemed solid middlestrikes but on course horrendous .clearly not doing it correct was slicing on skulling..any main reason for these ? Guessing weight and perhaps speed
Maybe you have said it before in other video's, but what are the most significant misconceptions in golf when talking strike, hitting, chipping and putting. I feel like you are approaching this in a natural habbit stroke dictated by body mechanics.

Very fortunate to find your videos, you are so right about traditional Golf, your concept is simple and exact 👍

I am gonna try. Curious, where do you keep the ball for driver and 3 wood? With a closed stance, is it towards the center?
How did you hit the driver ? I use Jim’s system but have a total different driver swing , you hit down on your driver ?
I like that don sutherland delivery and savoire faire....nice...
This is the one video that helped me most get the concept.
Great teacher you know what your talking about how good can you get with your system
Brilliant....
Thank you❤Aloha
This will help. Thanks

I live in Arkansas. We never shutdown the golf courses. Been playing all thru the WuFlu. Arkansas has one of the better death per capita rates.
awesome story!
I've always wondered where the clubface pointed after you move into your left side?
The club face is square to where you want the ball to start anticipating a draw ball flight.

Did the Lakers win?
Just started watching your videos. Would putting so much pressure on the right leg cause knee pain or issues?
The bump and run is amazing.
Daniel Smith I’m Guessing you’re left-handed? No, done properly this swing causes no unnecessary damage to the body.
Jim Venetos Golf Academy I said right was meaning left.
Do I take the club back along the target line or my shoulder line ?
Shoulder line
Any thoughts of the Senior Tour?
Fred Reuer negative, too busy teaching.

Jim, do you use the same swing for driver and woods? What's the difference? The set up? Do tell.
S. Park same swing, I do tell, in my school, sign up and enjoy!
