Beautiful! I’m in the middle of this (my first) one, and I’m customizing as well. I used auto pin striping tape to make the lines white. I like the way you put the 3 shelf unit together, too. The way they show it is harder and not as nice.
While watching videos of miniatures, I stumbled across this video. I have this kit, but have yet to open it (I started on a second booknook but rage quit about halfway through because I was getting sick of painting edges white 😅 I'm now back working on it and should hopefully finish it in a couple more days!) With my current kit, it came with two plastic cats, one of which was an absolutely horrendous shade of yellow. I couldn't bring myself to follow the instructions and just glue them in place, so I got my acrylic paints out and started painting them so they looked more like cats and less like plastic garden ornaments. I then started wondering if I really wanted my Cathy's Greenhouse to have the black frame it comes with, or if maybe I could paint it white to match my Greenhouse Booknook (first miniature kit I did!) Seeing your customisations, I'm inclined to go for broke and *really* customise it now 😁
AMAZING!! I'm so glad I watched this before working on my kit. This is my first time working on miniature anything. How did you do your flooring? Thank You for posting. Its really beautiful.
oh have fun with your kit! for the flooring inside it was just a scrapbook piece of paper that was of wood flooring. and the flooring on the outside were skinny sticks, cut up and glued together into a pattern onto a piece of cardboard and painted dark brown! :) and thank you so much! :)
I just got this kit for my bday. I wanted mine white but the original paint shows through? I used the paint the kit comes with, i even tried spray paint which has a primer. Already broke the door trellis. Im so sad
I did have to do several layers of paint to cover some of the pieces, the original colours are quite bold! :( shame that the door trellis broke, but you could replace it with something else! :)
This is really cute but you have much more patience that I do. I'm ready to throw the whole thing out the window. Put actual parts of the plastic greenhouse together with no glue and vague instructions? Make a play and watering can wth flimsy paper? Sorry, this is a great idea but not for me. You have done a great job.
Thank you so much! It certainly is not for everyone! And can take much longer than just a day, or week or even months! I often get questions on how to start, and my biggest tip is just to take it slow! if you're getting frustrated or overwhelmed, take a day or week or month off and go back to it when you feel like it! this kit was quite extensive, even for people who work on kits frequently- so i understand completely! thank you!
Muy bonito!! ❤❤, me gusta mucho como lo has personalizado, 😊
This is the level of "change everything" customization that speaks to me! Love everything about this.
thank you so much! :)
I love how you modified the kit and made it your own! 🩷🥰
I've already started mine and I'm regretting not customising it more! This is absolutely incredible. I'm blown away by your creativity and talent
aw that's alright! you can always customize the next one you do! :) and thanks so much!
This is absolutely beautiful! I love how you changed things around and especially love the little crystal ball!!
Ive watched lots of these. I keep wanting to see that door made with real screen. 😊
Love it! Still working on mine. I'm going for a semi-derelict look but your impressionist vibe is very cool!

Hi! Where did you get the little glass vases from?

I like what you did! I wish I customised mine more :)

I'm currently busy with mine. I have to say cutting out all those leaves nearly killed me, LOL.
