This soup is amazing. I can see all kinds of recipes for this stuff.
I have no idea why Campbell's never pushed this as a regular flavor.
Doodle! The soup looks very appetizing. We'll probably try that with our soup. Thanks for all the shoutouts!
Thanks for hunting this down for us!
I use to love campbells soup and cook with it all the time until I learned how to make my own cream soups. Now I just make them from scratch and they are amazing with like 1/5 of the sodium of Campbells. Great video as always Val hope you, doodle and the family are well
Thank you, you as well. If you decide to make cream of bacon soup from scratch, post some pictures or video on the Trippy Food Facebook page!
@@TrippyFood I have been wanting to make a new meal and I will do that
@@TrippyFood I don’t have a Facebook but I’m on Instagram... are you their Val?
@@Automage45 yes - at Val_TrippyFood
I wish I picked up a can or two of those when I was at my store I saw it here in Northeast Wisconsin.
If you're lucky you can still find this - check Grocery Outlet and the dollar stores...
@@TrippyFood thanks for the tip!
I can't find cream of bacon anywhere near me, but you reminding me of your Thanksgiving special has inspired me to use some cream of mushroom soup while I'm snowed in tomorrow. Not very exciting, but I need to use up the cream of whatever soups I've had in the pantry forever.
Try Dollar General if there's one near you
I bought a case from Amazon
That looks great!
Came out surprisingly well.
The baked potato soup looks like the perfect comfort food!
It's sort of a reverse-baked potato soup, since the potato is an afterthought.
I found some at dollar general today! I had completely forgotten about it after I gave up looking months ago. can't wait to try it
It’s too good to end up at the dollar store. Campbell’s missed the boat on this one.
@@TrippyFood I think you were right. They didn't advertise it like at all!
I have a can of the cream of bacon. Now I'll have to give it a try! Nice way to change it up ...loaded soup!!
I know you'll do something creative!
@@TrippyFood I don't know about that. I think you came up with the definitive recipe for Cream of Bacon soup.
I saw your video a while back. I just found some here in AZ recently. I may try your idea.
Nice! Let me know what you think!
Amazon has it along with beefy mushroom
I think you can find it some dollar stores - the big groceries never carried it.
i must try this soon!
I recommend it.
I just got me a can at Safeway, I found your video while trying to find a way to use it.😎
I've also seen it recently at Grocery Outlet. Usually that's when the item is being discontinued, so if you like it, I'd buy a few cans. Let us know what you think!
@@TrippyFood I had a bag of the Great Value real bacon pieces(bits) I put some in the nuker for a few seconds & crisped them up , sprinkled on top steamed broccoli with a bit of the sauce,. Was scrumdiddlyumptious 🥓🥓
@@andrewbetrix That does sound good...
Hey silver fox 😎 Funny that you should do this video with this particular soup because I have been searching for this soup & I think I've finally found it, I hope so anyway lol I'm going to where the Campbells website told me they're selling it. I used the websites product locator. So hopefully tomorrow I'll be trying it. I'm gonna make it just like you did yours in this video ! I'll let you know what I think !
Awe Doodle 💛
If you have access to Facebook, post pictures or video to the Facebook post on the Trippy Food page!
Trippy Food I don't have FB but I might create a page, I dunno. If I do I will post a pic on your page.
I need to look for this in Hawaii.
Not sure how far you are from Honolulu, but this store locator tells you where to get it: www.campbells.com/where-to-buy/?PROD=00051000253002&MM=panel2
Mmm I just made a chicken casserole pie with Cream of chicken, Gotta try a Chicken Pasta bake with cream of Bacon!
That sounds good - post some pictures and your results on the Facebook posting for this!
@@TrippyFood I added it to the shopping list, not sure if they'll have it here yet
@@TnT_F0X Janice found it at Dollar General - you might try there.
Super photo bomb!
Which one?
Had no idea this was new for you. Must be one of the only thing is Canadians have had that you didn't, we've had this for at least a couple years
Yeah, they announced it a few months ago in the US, but it was difficult to find.
Thanks hobo brown, glad you are making videos and chewing bubblegum
Yesss, I can't stop laughing at all the perverted things i want to say about Cream of Bacon. Maybe you can make a warm cream of bacon dipping sauce with all that cheese and extra bacon. Dip potato wedges in it! haha
Great idea!
Found 6 cans in the dumpster tonight at Dollar general. Just got 3 lbs of taters on sale right on time!
It's like payday in the middle of the week!
@@TrippyFood I prepared it like you and you are correct that is one tasty 😋 lol meal.
I bought a case from Amazon
Good find!
That would be good to make creamed spinach...
I'm with you on that one.
Amazon sells a case of it for $18
I use the soup from the can as cooking ingredients. I heat up Classico Alfredo sauce then add 1/4 cup of the concentrated bacon soup and herbs and fresh parmesan. It’s a great flavoring addition. Making baked chicken with it next week.
It IS pretty versatile
Not sure what I'd do with a case...
@@TrippyFood Only reason is I’m afraid they won’t keep making it.
I depend a lot on Campbell's split pea soup, but the other day, while shopping, and proceeding as though the Campbell's racks were correctly labeled, I ended up with two cans of this cream of bacon stuff. I'm used to adding a half can of water to the pea soup, producing a rather okay stew. But this cream of bacon suggested adding milk instead of water. I don't keep milk around my place, so I added water ! When I dumped the soup into a pan, it was more like wallpaper paste in appearance and flavor than like any food product. So I washed the stuff down the drain. A few fragments of what might have been bacon paused momentarily on their way. I judge that the can contained maybe 4 grams of whatever that was. I've not decided how to dispose of the second can. I suggest that soups not intended to be taken straight be so labeled.
Most of the Campbell’s Cream of XXXXXX soups you mix with milk. Assume if it says “Cream of” on the label you have to add milk (or heat straight out of the can, depending on the brand)
Doodle!
Yes, Doodle indeed.
Okay. Val is just using the channel as an excuse to clear out his pantry now.
We actually had a hard time getting our hands on this one.
