I have my angelfish in a community tank right now and a pair has laid some eggs. The mother is extremely aggressive towards the other fish and seems very stressed out. I'm not sure what to dobfrom here. Should I setup a new tank and move the parents and the eggs? Or make a divider and leave them in the tank??
I am new at this. My angels laid eggs. Moved them to a smaller tank for hatching. Babies are great. About one month old. Why are most very large and a few still look like babies. Very small like when they were first free swimming. They are fine and eating well just not getting as big as the others. Will they catch up or just always be small? Thank you.
Hi there great documentary i just have problem and need ur help i have 7 large angels in 50 gal tank it has been 3 months but could not see any of them have pairied off they are healthy and eating well what do recommend
My angle fiah had eggs.... Will the babies survive in the regular tank? At all.? I have them netted so they cant get eaten by the rest of my tank but to dont have a separate tank to raise em in
Hi mate thanks for informative video. My angelfish appear to be doing a fantastic job. However they seem overzealous. In a breeding tank they keep on gathering the fry when they start to scutter and free swimming. As they try to bundle them up a lot unfortunately the fragile fry can only take it a few times before succumbing. How do you resolve this?
Today my Angel pair laid their eggs and we had NO Idea. Oh lord!! We took out the goldfishes, along w/another tropical fish, now if I can only get my 2 sucker fishes n frog, we will be 🤗. What an experience for us all. Especially, for my child. 🐠❤🙏
What did you plan to do with all these fish once they're mature? I have finally got a nursery set up and after the third egg laying, I got the eggs out of my community tank and they are wigglers. I love the hobby but I'm too busy to keep many more fish tanks. I would love to keep doing this but is there a demand for angelfish out there?
You'd really have to check that before you decide to raise/breed them. You could sell them at 3 months. If all goes well they should be at 2,5-3" or 6-7,5cm tall. I ask my 3 LFS is they want them at 2,5 months. If I cannot move them there I try to sell them thru an online marketplace. In my experience there's always demand for quality angelfish.
My angel fish eggs hatched few hours ago. Swear I didnt know that they are male and female.I have to save them because there is an arowana on that big tank too. While saving those newly hatch eggs, the parents are keep on hitting my hands. They even attacked the arowana whenever she comes closer to the newly hatch eggs.
I bought two angelfish from the LFS that were sold to me as a pair. They act like a pair, they do the breeding ritual, lay eggs and care for them together but here's the weird thing. Last time they laid eggs my mostly all black marble was the one that laid the eggs but this morning my orange and black angel laid eggs and they are both fanning and protecting them. Have you heard of two females acting in this way? Do lesbian angelfish exist?
Hi. Thank you for your comment! Yes, it is possible for 2 female angels to lay eggs together. If the eggs all turn out white the day after they lay their eggs then they are not getting fertilized because there is no male.
MasterAquatics The first set of eggs that were laid by my other Angel turned white after a day or two then when I saw my other Angel lay eggs too it made sense why the last set of eggs didn't hatch but I did not know that two females would act this way and protect the eggs together. Do you know if I get a male Angel is it possible for him to pair with one of the "breeding females" or will they remain a pair? Thanks for your videos and your replies.
@@ShillDozer it is possible for the male to breed with another fertile female. But be careful as this could lead to a fight if he returns home to his mate. He will likely have to stay with the side hustle or put on quite a show to be re welcomed. Since all females need a baby daddy it may still be necessary for the original paired female to use him to fertilize. . . But then when the fry get older the father will not be allowed swimming rights. If hes rather hansome he may pair with the side hustle indefinitely. But if he repeats this behavior he will endup being exiled and left to hang with the bottom feerers never really having another fresh meal and may have to earn some street cred from cories to hang, and for ottos to offer algae stash.
Dude im planning to have angelfish and i have done my Research and i got my tank and filter and everything but i have a question what is a good substrate for pair of angels

mohammed alshamali prepare enough water and try a 40% water change. Often a pair will respond to this.

I've the same-brand heater as you're using in your nursery tank. Mine's 300w in a 20-gal.... What's yours?
