Great video loved the honest approach to how we has painters try to deal with difficulties that we are faced with sometimes . Great end result the model looks amazing.
Great vid John. re: Airbrush - I found learning to use it by painting terrain was the best way to get the hang of it (and all the nuances for each specific brush and compressor too). That way its easy to hide mistakes and you can practice on massive area instead of detail. I dont use mine alot, but when I do it's an absolute game changer (blending, super nice highlights on matt armour, etc)! Also useful for base coating when it's p1ssing down outside!
@alexgalbraithacoustic oooo that's a great idea use terrain to practice thanks man I'll defos give that a go. Yeh I do want to get good with it as it has awsome potential
@jmaccsarmiesofArda I found some of the tutorial videos from @NextLevelPainting (old ones from years ago) were really useful to understand how to avoid blockages etc. He's an airbrush guru.
That pretty much sums up my experience with an airbrush, so don't feel too bad about it mate. I mostly use mine for priming now and most of the time can't get it working properly.
Very good job my man I dont think I have the patience to go through the process of dealing with such a large winged model. TIL its not hydrax brown what the hell is a hydrax and why did I think it was called that.
As much as I can't normally defend myself against battle W**ker allegations, I'm not sure how Harry escapes this given it was his stream! Get him into this shame pit!!
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth Models that heavy and big are scary just to lift. Can't imagine what it was like if it's handling a commissioned smaug. Maybe they were worried about you being overly negative xD
An almost perfect video. Comedy, drama and informative then you use the phrase "LOTR warhammers" and spoil it. Had to pause the video to get rid of the vomit aftertaste caused by hearing that phrase.
Its mint and winning games thanks again so much

Im gna have to take some kinda course on how to use it xD
I start the video, i see Jmacc dressed in armor, i press like straight away.
I dont care even if the rest of the video is a black screen 😂😂

Lord of the rings warhammer hahahaha. Great intro mate! 😂 spose I’d better watch the rest of it now
Rest is shit
You made the video incredibly entertaining, even if you don't think you had enough material filmed. Smaug turned out wonderfully, as well.
Your very kind mate thanks for watching 😀
Was hoping you'd do a video on this one
The end result made my eyes feel all fancy like. Well done, John. So is Speed Paint Wizard's nemesis Air Brush Specialist?
😆 I hope not as one day I'd love to be able to use the airbrush properly haha
11/10 base
9.5/10 Smaug
