    Thanks for your videos. I still have a job and everything and decided to do it for myself it just got to the point where it sucks so bad I had to do something. Luckily what worked for me so far these last 65 days is going to an AA meeting Every day after work. I also humbled myself and asked for help and have an older gentleman help me with the steps. I'm feeling so much better physically and still healing I feel like sleeping all the time if I'm not at work or a meeting. It's great that you have this channel for alcoholics that want to stop drinking it seems we only listen to our own kind. Take care

    I'm 4 months sober now this time. I'm really trying. I'm trying to be thankful and positive and to pray about the anxieties. I still have anxiety. This time drinking just dosnt feel like an option anymore.

      A huge congratulations on 4 months without having to drink as a solution! Anxiety can be overwhelming, so I can relate to the urge to self medicate. You can get through it and please know you're not alone!

    It's for a huge part genetic and is not so tied to income, but when you have addiction and/or mental health issues then often social problems come along.
    And then there can be a vicious circle that makes things more difficult.
    You've done the best you can as a son of an alcoholic some succeed and unfortunately others don't, nobody is to blame it's just sad that there is no cure/method that could heal everybody.

    Hiya, Wayne! Thanks for another great video! I have to say this, as a fact within my own experience: I see A LOT of people come in and out of my AA hall, with every excuse there is for not quitting. The fact is that alcoholism is not racist, sexist, or choosy about ANYONE, for any reason. Alcohol doesn't care if you have a dollar or a million. It doesn't care about YOU and it doesn't care about your life. You ready to quit? Be willing and ready to do ANYTHING to make that happen. 😍

      It’s wonderful to hear from you timber! I love your perspective. I know not everyone out there needs to stop, not everyone is alcoholic.. However, if you’re reading these comments and you are like me and timber and you want to genuinely stop drinking, it is possible! Timber is spot on when she says that alcohol does not discriminate! We recover together, thank you for being here and sharing timber.

      I can't seem to put a decent amount of time together. I've quit all the drugs, but this ridiculous addiction to alcohol seems to be killing me. I've been to AA, I've researched everything on alcohol, and I know it's out of control. I can stop everything else, no problem. I've been addicted to heroin, crack, whatever. Haven't done anything like that in forever. But i can't seem to get rid of the alcohol, for like more than 20 or so days. My physical health is in serious jeopardy, and I can't quit it for ever. I'm at a loss here. Any advice from anyone?

    • @1Sober2Another
      @1Sober2Another  9 місяців тому +3

      @karenkobos2768 First, thank you for your courage and candor! I know what it's like to string together a few days at best when I was trying so damn hard to quit drinking. Second, have you been checked out by a doctor or rehab? Withdrawals can be detrimental! You sound like a really strong person, and if your conviction is just as strong, getting to rehab and continuing AA and sharing your experience with other Alcoholics and Addicts just might be the key. This is just my opinion.

      @@1Sober2Another thank you for your response. I have been checked out by a whole bunch of doctors, i spent a bit of time in the hospital in the past few months. All sorts of tests. There's no disputing that I have cirrhosis. Scans and a biopsy, all sorts of blood work and a few blood transfusions. As i sit here actually putting it into words, I actually feel like I must be insane to keep it up. I don't drink like i did but still. Not very smart. Anyways, I really appreciate your videos they really do relate. And prayers for the addicts that still suffer

      Pablo, I remember the Livestream, and I'm grateful you're striving to stop drinking! I know how overwhelming the cravings can be, and I know that we don't always get it on the 1st, 2nd, or even third try! I also know that as long as you have the desire to stop and the motivation to continue trying.. It will happen! Have you considered going to an AA meeting?? I understand there's a lot of mixed feelings people have about it, but you'll find people like us who are fighting the same fight! Pablo, I appreciate your support, and I'm Gere to support you also! Hello, Pablo! I agree with Wayne on this, and would like to add something here. I also had panic attacks, plus a few seizures. I would encourage you to do what I did and get into a rehab. That way, if you panic or need medical attention, they know how to help you! Plus, being in rehab will put you on point for beginning your new sober life. Let us know how it goes for you!
