Thank you for such wonderful explanations, I'm a beginner trying to understand one colour brioche, never done brioche knitting and it is very helpful to understand and correct my mistakes !!!
Oh my gosh!!!!! I can’t believe I found you. I’ve been struggling to learn brioche for two weeks; I’ve learned the basics, but, I still make mistakes (especially at the end of a round🤷♀️). Last night, I decided to quit, unless I could figure out how to fix mistakes - this morning, in one last ditch effort I searched for a video to help me figure it out and this dropped from the heavens into my feed. Thank you!!!!!!!!! I’ll be eagerly awaiting all future installments!
That was an amazing tutorial! I just wish I had found you 6 months ago when I completely frogged 1/3 of a shawl because I made too ,any errors while learning and had to start over. That was teaching in itself, and I learned a lot about brioche and how stitches are formed, so not a loss. I am now on my 7th attempt from scratch starting this brioche shawl-Cinnabar Shawl by Andrea Mowry of DreaReneeKnits. Life lessons! Lol Keep up with the excellent way you teach. I subscribed and am binge watching ALL your previous podcasts and learning so much. Have been knitting for decades and just venturing into brioche and I made my first sweater, and it fit! Woo hoo!
OMG - your video with illustration and explanation are awesome. I'm learning first one color brioche and couldn't figure out what I had done or how to fix. But now I understand how to identify and fix and I'm going to try to make that yarn over mistake so I can practice fixing. I can't wait to view your other fixing brioche videos.
Your teaching is excelent and easy to follow. You take out the mystery in correcting brioche mistakes. I can apply this methd to one color brioche knitting.
Awesome video!! As a former teacher, I really appreciate how you explained the steps verbally, in writing, with drawings, used color-coding, and demonstrated with yarn. You made this super clear and easy to follow. Thanks so much!
This is such an amazing tutorial! I'm so impressed!!! I love it! Can't wait to watch all of them! Thank you for providing this for free. I'm so grateful.
Wow. Very thorough explanations! Thank you. I have suggestions for future brioche videos if you haven't done them yet. I suggest showing us how to actually put the stitches back on the needle from a life line row. Sounds obvious but I think it's a little harder than one might imagine. Also how to tink a bbbrRsl dec and maybe also the brLsl dec. And finally, those end stitches can be buggers to tink. Thank you!!
Hi Linda- great suggestions, I’ll do what I can. I have a list of suggestions, I’ll keep adding to it! Tinking really specific stitches can be more of a challenge for a video, and the one you mention that sounds like alphabet soup 🤣 is probably very specific to a certain patttern? I’ll definitely look into getting stitches back on the needle form a lifeline some time in the future, I have some basic tinking videos that might help a bit with some of the other issues🤷♀️……. ❤️
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I have been brioching forward and backward to deal with missing YOs and you have made it SOOO easy to fix without ripping out! Now if I could just master switching between knitting and purling and what to do with everything during the end/beginning of the row in the round I’ll be set! Getting there…. Thanks for the clear explanation on fixing brioche!
Thanks for letting me know Donna, glad I could help! My intro to brioche in the round might have some tips on the end/beginning of rows that are helpful- some patterns start with a purl instead of a knit to help that transition go better, but my videos are for starting with a knit :) ❤️
This was so close to the help that I was looking for. I need to know what to do if you have a wrap and you’re not supposed to. But the rest of it looks fine.
That one may be tougher to diagnose why it happened- you can try just knitting or purling it in like a brioche knit or purl, it’d it doesn’t look right after (and you’re not ok with that) you may have to tink out (back out) and redo. ❤️
@@SunDragonTipsTricks I ended up tinking back. Turned out I forgot to Brk or Brp (don’t recall which now) the stitch, must have slipped it which explains the extra yarn over I had that was really confusing me. I think I accidentally dropped it while trying to figure things out.
So helpful because I’ve run across this before. Unfortunately my 3 single stitches have no dropped shawl. I think I purled a slip. I can’t figure it out. Once again tinking back. About to pull my hair out.
I love this you made this do easy when everyone else says life lines and rip out! Do you have one for pk1b? That is my new one now I have mastered brioche thanks to you!
