It can be really strong as a turn 1 play but becomes almost useless anytime after that

I tried this style of deck as water. And realized it was too slow. Switching to Wind might be what it needed. Also feel like alchemical scripture is bait. By the time you play it you're most likely already winning. And literally anything you would have materialized would have been fine.
