awesome review awesome teacher! very very helpful and there was a grey spot with me with neutral stimulus and unconditioned stimulus and how they paired together but you explained that so well loved it!
Very good, succinct and to the point, thank you, I have just completed my paper, and will be presenting for editorial evaluation regarding golf instruction.👍😀
I always had questions in the back of my mind about classical conditioning. Now, I am studying this again on my own and I want to go about those questions. Anyways.... I understand the unconditioned stimulus and unconditioned response. I am having a difficult time with the next step regarding the unconditioned stimulus with the natural stimulus. Thank you very much!
Dr J, I came across this video as I am searching the web for understanding to help my fearful dog as much as possible. I know this wasn't directly uploaded for dog sciences but please let me know if I am making the correct connections here. On a walk. Neutral Stimulu = The environment / Unconditioned Stimulus = People walking towards us / CS = Fear & Avoidance Thank you for your time.
Not quite. Fear & avoidance is a response. Being afraid of someone walking near would be a conditioned stimulus. However, classical conditioning does not ALWAYS apply. It would be hard to discern if there was ever something that had happened (unconditioned stimulus) that was paired with seeing other people on a walk (neutral -> conditioned stimulus).
Not a student in your class, but this is the first explanation of this that has actually made sense to me! Thank you!
I'm glad! :)
I have been looking at my notes for a whole hour trying to understand this. Thank so much for your help. I feel less confused about it now.

The shower example is the first one that has stuck w me in YEARS of hearing about conditioning:)
