i did want to point out that I said something about herpes at some point and i made an exaggeration saying that *everyone has it* i did not realise this could come across as spreading misinformation and scaring people, it was not my intention truly because in that moment i was making more of a joke/ hyperbole and I'm so sorry if i caused any harm. i really just want to make people less stigmatised on it because i feel like people see it as this terrible rare disease (at least that used to be my impression) when it isn't as scary (in a lot of cases like mine) and is actually very very common. if you are interested you can do more research in your own time but about like 70% of the population has it (which is why i made that exaggeration).
my message in the end was just- dont make fun of people for having herpes... seriously it's so stupid "haha you are sick" wdym?? i know you all are sensible, i love you guys!

I’ve been having such a bad day as my older sister has left the country to go to university and the thought of us never living together again and not being able to talk and hang out whenever has crushed me. girl, and everyone that is feeling this way, listen up. i was exactly there at the end of my high school. the fear of not being the best i can was drowning me and i didnt even know if i actually liked studying and academic success. but two years have passed, i got into the uni i really wanted, i moved out and into a great city and i really changed my mindset. i am now doing maybe even better than i was, but i am actually enjoying it now. pick a uni u really want and know you are going to enjoy and youll going to actually feel it. the realization of the fact that you are now doing it for yourself only. good grades are feeling like a reward and not someting i need to achieve. it is a cliche, but just wait. and try to enjoy your last year to max because you get only one last year in high scool. ly girlies

As a 13 year old Indian with an older brother who absolutely destroys all of his tests, I feel ur pain I feel like I’m always pressured to do well, that if I don’t there’s something wrong with me I feel so guilty when I’m not doing my hw right away or not studying for a test 5 days before. It eats me alive and it’s rlly hard but I know that I’m doing all of this work for my future so that definitely helps a lot. I hope this feeling of urs goes away soon sushi cuz ur smart and beautiful and u don’t have to worry abt anything U GOT THIS!❤

This felt like a therapy session, and I absolutely loved how authentic you are about how you were feeling because I RELATED TO EVERYTHING. Especially being in college now, the pressure to do good even though I hate school is actually relieving to know I'm not the only one feeling this "guilt" for wanting to stop lol. I think we just have to remind ourselves how far we've come and be proud of our hard work, to push forward. In a positive way, we have to talk ourself out of feeling horrible. And redirect our perspective into positive remarks about ourselves. But thank you for sharing! I felt so understood and seen.
i believe the term for your feeling is academic burnout, and i feel the same. sometimes i feel like since i put so much of my value into my academic achievements, i don't exist without my academic scores. almost like i need the academic validation to feel like a worthy person, idk. i think once we discover our self worth in something outside of only our achievements or accomplishments, the feeling of burnout will slowly fade. i'm still getting there myself, and i wish you luck on your own journey! excited to see what you do in the future!

I get where you're coming from on all that "i hate school but I can't stop studying" stuff. It was like this for me for a very long time too, the two things that helped were my mom telling me that grades are not worth my mental health and also realizing that the last school year (in Austria) is totally not worth stressing over lol. I know that's easier said than done but believe me, I put absolute minimum effort in during the year and only started studying again for the Matura and it worked out just fine for me and now I'm in university doing something I really love! You got this girl, don't give up now! Freedom is waiting!
