Trying to Play Lead Guitar

- I’ve been practicing my pentatonic scales and trying to play some lead guitar for several months now. Here’s a self indulgent blues lead jam where I play too many notes and try to sound cool.
Needs work, but here you go.
Achievement unlocked : we've found SinatraLennon!
And I’m always wearing a shirt in these. Thank goodness!
Thanks for sharing. Made a bit of my long afternoon better
Just a bit is all you need. You certainly don’t want me noodling on the guitar for too long.
Nice blues solo, seem to be well on your way. You can sing and play the blues so looking forward to an original piece.
I think you got it my friend
Great tone and touch Brian! I’d say you are well on your way my friend!!
Russ Chapman I’ve got to play less notes. Less is more! I’m just still so excited that I can play anything that even sounds like a lead that I don’t know when to stop.
Brian Jepson I know what you mean man. When I started learning slap bass, our drummer wanted to shoot me. Lol
Russ Chapman Ha! That’s great.
Funny enough Brian, I was just about to make a video talking about my learning of lead guitar!
Clay Novak make the video! I want to see it.
Brian Jepson just looking through some of your old videos, thought i'd let you know that i mostly only really play lead guitar now, and i'm half decent i like to think, still thinking about making that video...
Plz dont
Sounds great! Bravo!
Sounding good, man. Just discovered your channel and really enjoying it.
Aside from being a fan of the other channel, and a Texas native, I taught guitar professionally for nearly 4 years after I got out of the Marine Corps.
Again your sounding great, you need to post more on this channel! Love the look of that stratocaster👌My Fender Jazz bass looks the same, maple neck, black body, white pick guard. Just like my hero Geddy Lee used. Except his is a 72' mine is a brand spankin new 2019
I learned the other way around, so I’m trying to learn rhythm now.
Rhythm can be just as hard!
What year Squier?
that's a trick question. sounds like a million bucks.
brilliant.
Really good Brian, I’m a 16 year old who’s currently taking guitar lessons and I really enjoy watching your videos and hopefully I’ll make my own covers one day.
FabianC585 you’re off to a good start! I was in college before I started learning how to play. Keep going and you’ll be really good before you know it.
Sinatra Clapton!
Sounds very pleasin'! 😉😂
definitely check out the 'Scott Henderson Shares Secrets of the Pentatonic Scale' video, he's single best guitarist alive in my opinion. Solo albums, tribal tech they all rock so hard :)
Texas style
Hey Brian! Huge shaving fan! A question for you: I’ve been playing acoustic for about a year now(a few riffs here and there). should I buy an electric guitar too? or should I practice a little bit more??
Anay Awasthi you’ll find that playing those riffs and any simple leads you want to play are easier to do on an electric guitar. The action is lower and the strings are usually thinner. Do you have an amp?
Brian Jepson thanks for the reply! no amp for now. All i have is an acoustic guitar for now. I gotta get the entire setup!
?Nice one Brian, question please what was the backing track?
Yo mate, are you the dude who voiced Cyrus Drake in Wizard101? You have an awesome voice, I wanna say.
Yes I am! How could you tell?
@@jaintly I know you're a musician and your voice is pretty similar. Can I contact you?
@@vikinggeorge7007 sinatralennon@gmail.com
@@jaintly It's not so much about business, but I will message you on there. At least, I wouldn't consider it a huge business.
In case you have Discord, you can add me on: Salamurhaaja#2002
Hi Brian!!! my name is Edd from Liverpool "Beatle land" i have just found your channel and iam really enjoying it!!! good singer and guitarist you are by the way!!!! what gauge strings do you use on your gibson j-160 to get that Beatle sound?
Nice Brian! Thanks Again For Sharing. By The Way, Are You Still Playing That Gorgeous RIC 381?
Quite good! How many years have you been playing?
Guitar Tube I’ve been playing rhythm guitar for 20 some odd years, but learning lead for about a year and a half. Still have a lot to learn!
