Know that the content builds on itself as the year progresses. I highly recommend keeping an separate organized notebook/binder for all the equations and calculator shortcuts you will learn. Also don’t feel bad going in at lunch or before school to get extra help… you don’t want to be lost and then have more content build on top of that. Lastly Khan Academy is a huge help when stuck at home
I’m a sophomore and next year I am taking the AP US History class (in AP World History right now) and am planning on self-studying for the AP Calculus BC exam (in Algebra II right now). I know calculus might be a bad idea but I already have a grasp on some calculus concepts, I plan to major in math, and my school doesn’t offer the class. Plus, I like math and do relatively well in it! I’ll study some more calculus and see if it is a good idea before I commit. (´ε`;) Thanks for the video!
When you stated that AP Psychology was hyped up to be much harder than it actually is… my jaw dropped 🥲 I have a C- because I’ve gotten 50%-60% on all of my tests so far 😭🙏 our class average are always 60%-70%… my teacher makes us test on 70-90 questions under 45 minutes 😍
I think the ap psychology class in my school is the same, it’s taught by the same ap human geo teacher and honestly both these classes averages are D-C on tests 😭 despite being easier classes it’s average is lower than both Ap bio and ap calc ab 😭😭
I had the same problem in psych, my teacher never curved the tests. I eventually got better and it does prepare you for harder ap classes though so it’s actually a good thing, it did drop my gpa though. But because of it, I am able to take 3 aps (most sophomores usually take 2) and maintain an A in all of them. Trust me, you’re being prepared. As long as you develop ways to study more efficiently through the year and you see progress you’ll do better and better. I wish you luck on the ap exam, i reccomend studying vocab a lot, and get the Princeton review book…

For example, if your future is following computer science and you are taking the easiest ap class, ap human geo, you are wasting your time if youre just there for an easy A. If you have the mindset of always having the easy way out, you will not prove anything to colleges that you are worthy.
