THANK YOU! I'm having my ass beat trying Midline. With Low Tech I barely know what I'm doing. High Tech? Couldn't figure it out. But it seems that only Midline is the one that's actively hating me for trying to play it.
Trading tanky monitors for glass cannon brawlers is an interesting choice. For what it's worth, the monitor was outright broken before the nerf, I feel like it's still in a very good spot as it is now, they're still extremely effective distractions or escorts for the larger, slower ships.
Indeed they are but it is not good in all scenarios. For example the Paragon can very well take advantage of the Monitor but it will not fire its Tachyon Lances if it is too close. When I say close, I mean next to the ship. It remains that battles against the Persean who can put around fifteen Monitors on the battlefield pose a problem if the Brawlers are not present. Even without Monitors, the build has a solid foundation.
This is really good but I have 2 questions though. What can I do while working towards the omega weapons? Unrelated do you think the conquest is decent at all in the current patch?
When you try to find Omega weapons, you can have 2 choices for frigates : 2 Monitors / 1 Brawler LP (cheap option to tank damage) or 2 Brawlers LP and 2 Centurions LG with PD lasers (weak PD but when you have 2 Shocks on a ship, it pays off). Centurions are not game changer here. Otherwise, Gryphon with Squall, small Salamanders and whatever you want for medium. It can also be Pilums to deal EMP.
For the Conquest, it's still a support/dps ship but sponge / dissipate very well the damage. I used 2 in my playthrough but I fall in love with more Executors because they do a lot more damage and make it easier to your Brawlers. The difference is quite significant.
I adore the conquest because of its large ballistics and 2 medium ballistics on each side so it's a ship I try to use as much as possible. lasers just don't give me the same warm feeling that a good cannon does. Do you have any advice around the conquest? With those monitors you've mentioned any advice around them or are they covered well enough in a previous video? Thanks a lot for answering the previous questions btw, that's some really helpful info.
Someone told me to use Storm Needler since it is buff now. Pretty good with smod Expanded magazines, range and recoil included. Otherwise, you can use the same previous loadouts, without Ion Beam. Ion Beam now make the enemy AI to run away to vent so it's pretty bad without investing heavily on EMP.
@@MisterG_Gaming I think the short 2 - 4 minute showcase preview works well and helps sell the build's effectiveness while keeping it short and concise. For the main showcase videos where you detail each loadout and captain skills, I preferred the on-screen text because the video had a more... "chill vibe" as opposed to the TTS which sounds a bit uncanny. I understand TTS allows you to pack in a lot more information, however I think it's best to either: - Extending the main video, detailing the specifics of each build and their purpose like your TTS script, but in text form - The easier option which is to detail these specifics in a pinned comment under the video PS: I respect how well made and professional the videos are, these are only opinions from myself

If I see that I bring even numbers of viewers or less, I will return to the old format since it takes way less time and it's better to listen the music rather than TTS. Since 0.96, the behavior (gameplay) with Glimmers has changed; they require more management. I haven't tried high tech yet. Is it better to take a Fury and put a Glimmer in escort order? Maybe...I can't tell. It's certain that 2 Astrals really take out a capital ship and they are fun to watch. Currently, the metas remain a fleet full of SO Hyperions and piloting your Radiant. There are variations here and there but nothing very conclusive in my opinion for a pure High Tech. I would like to work with Nova and/or Doom for example.

The Furies still kill targets extremely well, and while the Glimmers don't feel as aggressive, they still perform what the fleet needs as extra DPS and frigate/destroyer chasers. While I was finding Glimmers, I tried to fight both Tesseracts with just 2x Astral 5x Fury. It took many retries but with enough AI wrangling so that the Tesseract didn't run away from the Astrals, I managed to score victory, only losing 2 Furies in the process
Man, I really hate it that all guides rely heavily on Best Of The Best skill, or leadership skill tree in general. I'm a big fan of the Combat skill tree, because I enjoy piloting my flagship. I also love piloting my Radiant from time to time. But because of that I cannot find any fleet building tips, because everyone requires Best Of The Best, which I never have. I can kill things easily with my flagship, but the rest of the fleet dies left and right after every battle because I'm clueless on how to build it :/
I dont know how do you build around your skill tree but you can go 5/5/5 and skip Industry to grab everything you normally need. Industry is really just a "nice to have". If you really need Ordnance Expertise, you can sacrifice Leadership but, even if you pilot a Radiant (and I know it can wipe 2 full Remnant fleets on its own), you need a team to support you. You can also downgrade weapons, adjust flux cap and dissipation, be less aggressive, use a bait ship to follow you, etc.
In reality how easy (hard) is it to have that many of the omega weapons? Havent played in a while now tbh, but still enjoy watching the vids Great to see gryphon getting the love again, i have a real soft spot for them
Glad you like it. The Reality Distruptor is based on RNG; all depends if Doritos uses one. You still have the Omega cache you can get early game and have a chance to get few Shock Repeaters. Otherwise, hunt Doritos to get your 8 Shocks, normally it's doable since they are a common drop.

It depends on your fleet but you have the classic Tach Lance, Squall, 2 Hypervelocity Drivers with PDs that can do the trick. The best is to do the Usurpers quest to get a free Executor.

However I do not have any alpha weapon yet and my officers are not optimal. Could you suggest how I can replace alpha weapon for gryphon and centurion?
Hello! Sure, you can equip the Gryphon with Squall / Salamanders or Harpoons (use at least 3 small Salamanders or 2 medium ones). Even with the nerf, the Gryphon will be useful; that's what I did for this playthrough. Executors do all the job anyway. For Centurion, use PD lasers on all slots. Less effective and lasers cant pass thru ships but the role isn't to eliminate frigates, Brawlers LP are for this task. So far, how does it go on your run?

I'm pretty sure you can make a fleet like this since Gryphons monofleet was "doable" in patch 0.96. Make sure you do the Usurper quest for a free Executor 😉

Hello, I hope you are having fun. Not having a reputation with Diktat allows you to attack their LG fleets without worrying about the consequences. This is what will allow you to have their Centurion LG since it is not purchasable on the market. Therefore, you need an alternative as a capital ship to counter their Executors. If you are lucky, you will be able to recover one of theirs; paying a Story Point is not expensive for the added value. If you have the reputation, the Executor can be bought in Sindria and even on the black market. An NPC can even give you a 50% discount if you are lucky at the bar. Otherwise, you can do bounties for Diktat, which will allow you to get the Executor. It is quite common to encounter them in this patch. I hope this helps. Otherwise for weapons, a few people have already asked the question for those that are out of range at the start of the game. In the end, it doesn't change much in the gameplay. I don't want to spoil your first playthrough either.

@@FranciscoScarlet166 you cant farm them anymore in 0.97 vanilla. But you can grab some weapons from 2 Hypershunts (blue giant or super giant), 1 from a special bounty and 1 cache at the top right where you fight the Ziggurat. Save before and redo the fight if you see they use the weapons you want.
@@MisterG_Gaming If you have an RTX gpu, you could try using the w-okada voice changer, that way you'd be able to convey more vocal inflection. It's supposed to be used in real time, like for discord calls, but I've seen it in action, and it's pretty impressive tech.

Nice build showcase but I preferred the text + phonk format rather than the TTS

The more I look at how to be original with low tech, the more it tempts me to have a lot in my future fleet.
