- Our search to find a better rental home for our family continues. We found a very strange designed house in Valencia, Negros Oriental listed on marketplace and out of curiosity as well as our need to find a larger home me and my wife @philippinefamilylifewithle2673 decided to view the home and do a video house tour.

Cool design with several flaws. Color the house white to reflect the heat, put in som decent air conditioning and place a large shop fan to circulate the air in the dome area. Maybe also tint the skylight. Bathrooms need a better draining system. AIR AIR AIR. LOL Not for me but other, please enjoy.
Yes, too many flaws to mention. Not good for a family.
Quite abstract and I can imagine that it gets very hot in there. The bathrooms are very basic. I think the price is right, as it has 5 bedrooms, but if it were me I would also keep looking.

Hi Leah and Gary. We walked there to find it a few months ago. The outside without windows to see the mountains nor ocean was a turn off. The dark green (forest green) will attract heat, the opposite of what you need due to the direct sunlight in the Philippines being so close to the equator. We did not go inside, but it looks a little better than we anticipated but flawed. It is overpriced…

Thanks Gary, we will keep looking but are discovering it is not going to be easy to find something that meets our needs.

It is interesting but not in a good way. But definitely different.

Hello. Well, the design is certainly creative, but extremely unusual and not particularly aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. Actually, hideous to be polite. I don’t expect this design to win any architectural awards nor be featured in Architectural Digest anytime soon. As mentioned, this design does not seem to allow for any passive cooling, cross ventilation nor sun shading which is important in a tropical climate. I do not quite see a huge white elephant, but rather a green one. Hopefully the owner really loves this house, since I’d be extremely surprised if anyone else does.
I agree. One of the worst I have ever see.
@@GaryBuckingham I agree. It is unfortunate, since more time and effort during the design process could have produced a much more pleasing result. Even the material selection is unusual. I really dislike seeing anyone waste resources whether it is time, money, materials, labour, etc.
