The idea of being the “foundation of the pyramid” holds just so much more nuanced value than the “bottom.” What can I say…when I blast its for good SF. 😉
I love this series, I went back to this to see if this would be an effective way of getting people involved in OPS (ones that would be receptive about it) and it's quite effective. One key concept I would have liked to see more of is reminders that the definitions are different than the typing process itself (I might be projecting a bit here though). That said, this is really good for Si learners as a reference point and that niche was done well. Now (I know this is asking for a lot) a introduction video guide of the typing process itself (which is more of an art and pretty much what D&S do in their classes) would be another Si reference point. Dave tries to do it and is seeing success but a list of common pitfalls in typing would be a logical step from this introduction series.
I’m very happy to hear that’s it effective for getting people into OPS. That was our goal from the start. 😊 More content on how to type is a good idea. We’ll definitely do something about that at some point. We’re currently trying to fill this void with our typing classes, giving others insight into how we approach things, the things we struggle with, the things we learn.
Yes, exactly! The coins are completely independent. Which means that it can result in incongruent types that might have a hard time fulfilling their social needs. One positive example of a CS IxxP with social type #4 is Keanu Reeves.
Great videos guys! Im surprised you only have 383 sub's. you guys should do a corny "like and subscribe" thing as a joke and see how many people do it ;) The presentation of your guys site is awesome! I know you didn't ask for my opinion lol but I especially like the images you guys created from Ai for the blog posts. Such a good look and presentation, and great packaging of things. Hope y'all are doing well
My opinion, I struggle with the editing of the video. The sound always starts before the video and it looks weird and disturbing to me. I would find it better if the cuts were cleaner Keep up the good content!
I could be wrong with this, but this is how I’m thinking about it right now. Human needs is like a psychological version of hunger, thirst, being hot or cold and wanting to change that. It’s very moment to moment. Social needs are like your North Star that pulls you through in life. Example: An Se + Fe person (gather + tribe) is also a #1. They want to be the best, but the way the most want to get to be #1 without having to do their demons would be to gather for the tribe. Let’s imagine they decide to become the best flipper on the planet who’s making so much money and giving back to people and make a TikTok about it their journey. On a daily basis they’re getting to treasure hunt for items that the tribe finds valuable satisfying gather + tribe, but it’s all building towards them moving towards that #1 place that they see themselves.
I simply mean that they’re different in the sensory. They represent different needs. You can pair every 512 type with each of the 4 social types. That’s it. They’re just conceptually similar.
I love the use of the word foundation for social fours! Haven’t watched the rest of the video yet, but this was worth noting. Thank you!
I guess it’s a great compliment when you make a blast last stop consuming to blast first 😆 Thank you! 🙏

It's like... where on the mountain do you feel comfortable living? With the townspeople? In the artisan guild? As a magistrate? In the castle?
That’s a beautiful analogy for the Social Hierarchy. It also suggest that you could be happy or unhappy anywhere, depending on your disposition.
So I can be a social type 4, even though I'm double-activated Di?

Thank you, Austin! Yes, we probably should get over our blast last-ness and say more corny stuff 😅

You’re not the first one commenting on that 😅 I slowed down the pace in the more recent videos.
what tha hell, periodic table!? nice
The moment a statement that social types are different from human needs is used, I get lost
I could be wrong with this, but this is how I’m thinking about it right now.

Social needs are like your North Star that pulls you through in life.
