All three of you are exactly like all the friends I lost when I moved halfway across the country from a huge queer-safe city to a tiny “red” rural village. These videos help me not feel quite so alone, for a little while. Thanks for that.
I had a best friend who died a few years ago (before season 1 of Good Omens aired) and I keep thinking how much she would have loved Good Omens (as far as I know she never read the book). Sometimes I make up in my head what I think she would have said to various scenes, and what scenes would have caused her to make kissy noises (which she used to do whenever something shippy happened on screen).

That comment you made about the technological advancements of heaven vs hell was spot on! Another neat detail (not a spoiler) is that Crowley’s apartment is very minimalistic and empty, soulless almost. While Aziraphale lives in a very cluttered and cramped bookshop. This is likely due to the fact that Crowley hates the clutter of hell and Aziraphale hates the sterile emptiness of heaven, so they decorate their living spaces accordingly.
They're also the opposite of their head offices tech-wise: Crowley, despite the backwardness of hell, always has the newest computer and stereo (in the book) and phone (in the series). Aziraphale, despite the futuristic tech in heaven, loves his gramophone and can barely use an old dial phone.
"Many people, meeting Aziraphale for the first time, formed three impressions: that he was English, that he was intelligent, and that he was gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide. Two of these were wrong; Heaven is not England, whatever certain poets may have thought, and angels are sexless unless they really want to make an effort. But he _was_ intelligent. The fact that Crowley helped creating galaxies and loved stars so much and then he was given snake eyes…so now he probably can’t see his creation anymore- it’s just so heartbreaking. Yeah I definitely got big fanfic vibes off of season 2. I think it’s a bit more complicated than that. The first season was very closely based on the book; it was co-written with Terry Pratchett, who wrote with more absurd comedy than Gaiman does (Gaiman has a sense of humor too, but a different one), and Gaiman kept as much as he could out of respect for Pratchett. This is possibly the first time Crowley has actually done the I Was Wrong dance. (All the other times they mentioned, it was Aziraphale.) Someone once commented that Crowley didn't do it because he was actually wrong (he wasn't), but because he thought it was the only way that Aziraphale would let him stay and help. Oh, and while they were rehearsing or filming that scene, Michael held up a score card like a judge at the Olympics.
I think differently. He had to do the dance because he said "you are in your own with this one" and left. Aziraphale and him could always rely on each other, they're a team. Him saying Aziraphale would be on his own and he wont support him, i believe thats what he had to apologize for
Something the famdom has adopted is that aziraphell loves crowleys eyes and thats why the dustingbrush that gabriel held and the backrooms walls in aziraphells bookshop where they discussed what to do with gabriel is the same yellow/ orange :)
Regarding why Crowley fell, he does say in season 1 "I only ever asked questions, that's all it took to be a demon in the old days" and that he "just hung around the wrong people" so it's definitely a big part of why he fell. But Neil Gaiman has also said that Crowley is an unreliable narrator, so in my opinion, he likely asked a lot of questions and the only ones who encouraged him were angels like Lucifer that used his curiosity and his frustration with God not answering to get him to join their rebellion. I think he took part in the battle and was cast out because of it, but he wasn't really doing it for the same reasons as other demons, but because he just wanted answers and kind of just got swept up in it.
He also has given two different stories of how he fell: 1. he sauntered vaguely downward, 2. he took a million light year freestyle dive into a pool of burning sulfur.
@@TLC62 I've always thought "sauntered vaguely downwards" was more metaphorical. In the book it's not in dialogue, it's in the dramatis personae; it's a description used by the authors. It's not Crowley describing a past event.
@@nandam3779He did say "I didn't really fall, I just sauntered vaguely downwards" in the episode with flashbacks to different segments of the past (Episode 3, Hard Times). It was in the 1862 scene where they were dressed as Victorian gentlemen in top hats, when they had the fight over the holy water.
@@TLC62 No, I mean in the book. He didn't say it in the book. In the book, it's in the dramatis personae, that is, the authors said it, not the character or the narrator. It became dialogue in the series, but it wasn't originally. That's why I consider it to be more metaphorical and not an alternate account of the event. It's a descriptor, not a story.
Hey everyone! Remember to keep the comments free of any spoilers of future episodes for Morgan. Have fun & be creative with fake spoilers! Also, make sure we’re keeping the comments cool & comfortable for everyone here. Enjoy the reaction y’all!!!
In the galaxy creation scene, you noticed after that Crowley shielded Az from the meteors. Did you also notice that Crowley's wings already look darker than Az's after he started questioning??? 👀
No wayy!! I'm fairly new to the fandom and I've rewatched all the episodes multiple times, I did it again after reading your comment and OMG IT'S TRUE!!! In the very last scene where the meteors start falling you can clearly see Crowley's wings are slightly greyer than Aziraphale's!!! This show is amazing, even the tiniest details are so clever :0
“THE GAYS ARE SCRAMBLING MY THOUGHTS ONCE AGAIN” lollll I love your reactions sm it’s exactly the level of unhinged that I want people to be when watching GO2
Not sure if anyone mentioned yet, but there was a small official audio that was done between seasons called Lockdown. It's only a couple of minutes long, so worth doing a quick reaction to.
You mentioned Covid Rules briefly, when Gabriel had to stay inside. Just reminded me, they did a covid audio "episode" about the lockdown. Have you heard it yet?? So cute.
I love Angel Crowley he's so happy and excited. I love his reaction to seeing Gabriel. Poor Arizaphale trying to talk to amnesia Gabriel and getting frustrated. The dance.
And Nina, the coffee shop lady, is the same actress who played Sister Mary Loquacious, which really threw me out of the loop for a sec, because I thought "how cute, the lovely satanic nun works at the coffee shop now... wait oh wait, it's a different character"
Defenitely not a spoiler but David Tennant is nominated for a BAFTA next month, for his role as Crowley in series 2. (though I find that Michael Sheen should have been nominated too). The fact that it's David Tennant's first BAFTA nomination after so many epic roles, it's about time he wins it too.
Speaking about the Nightingale song, it's such a nice detail with the line "the streets of town was paved with stars" and they literally met each other amongst the stars. It's so cute.
Last year when my grandmother got ill and had an operation I discovered Good Omens, just a day before Season 2 premiered, so I was able to binged the two seasons during this hard time, it became my comfort show. Months went by and I also got addicted to watching reactions to the series, by luck I discovered your channel recently and made me disconnect again during 40-50 mins from the reality that the cancer was destroying my grandmother again, because you have such a lovely and funny soul. I got a chance to smile and laugh. Two weeks ago she died and being able to watch every Tuesday your reactions have helped me to get through my weeks after her passing, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I'm glad you are able to find a little bit of escapism though through my Good Omens content. Your comment means so much and thank you for leaving it. Wishing you the best
I think it's interesting how before the beginning Crowley was pretty naive you might call it, he didn't wanted to question things openly, didn't even wonder if it was considered appropriate, but Aziraphale already had fear in him, so my question is, who had managed to scare him already? Did Gabriel yell at him or something. Cause this was before the fall so I imagine angels didn't really have the concept of punishment yet
I just love seeing someone doing reaction videos getting so involved with all of material outside the show and being into fanfic as well, it's not something I see often and it's so great to watch someone fall in love with the fandom like this 💖💖💖
Your reactions are precious and we need to protect you at all costs! You asked about Alpha Centauri -- if you go back and rewatch the bit where Crowley puts his wing over Aziraphale, that's the sun that bounces off. You can even see two planets breaking off from the sun after it bounces!
@MorgyMorg Shax has Crowley's old job as 'Demon in London' which he lost after he and Zira stopped Armageddon. So she now has his flat because the flat belongs to Hell, wheras Azi OWNS his bookshop. So Crowley is now living in the car with his plants. Azi doesn't know this and Crowley is too proud to tell him, coz he knows that Azi would insist that he moves in, and he doesn't want Azi to ask him out of charity, he wants him to ask because they are a couple. 💔
Possibly Crowley also doesn't want to move into the bookshop because if Hell got wind of that it would endanger Aziraphale. Which is possibly also why he doesn't tell Aziraphale he's living in his car now because Azi would insist he moves in with him, and again it would put Azi in danger. (Just a guess)
I have a very different take on this. We know how long it took for Aziraphale to even admit to himself that they were friends. And he denied knowing Crowley to even humans, never mind angels. Also, angels and demons seem to have some powers that humans don't. They understand/speak every language, Crowley recognizes Aziraphale in Madame Tracy's body, Crowley's intense connection with his car. So there IS NO WAY that Aziraphale doesn't know that Crowley is living in his car. He even helps him to move the plants out of the car and then back into it. But also, remember how he says he shouldn't stay at Crowley's place post Armagedint because his side wouldn't like it. And despite 6,000 years of knowing Crowley, Aziraphale constantly defaults to, "You're a demon. You're the bad guys." And he retains his I'm holier (better) than thou attitude. And then we have Gabriel arrive. Aziraphale does try to reject him for a couple of moments, probably because he's never quick to make decisions. But in short order, he invites Gabriel to move in, something he denies his best demon. And we subsequently see Crowley angrier than we have ever seen him.
@@ForestNurse1406 The flat either belongs to Hell, or Hell pays the rent and the bills. It goes with the job of plenipotentiary for London or whatever Shax called it.
Don't worry about re-watching. We'll take any amount of re-watching you like! Just love your reactions to this great first episode of a greater season!
Because Crowley was a high ranking Angel before he fell? Possibly. Because Gabriel was Supreme Archangel? Possibly. Because of the love that Azi and Crowley have for each other, that boosts the power of any miracles that they do together? HELL YES! ❤
@@clarestubbs9303 Crowley seems to generally have a lot more raw power than Aziraphale, at least he has powers that Azi apparently doesn't such as weather manipulation, machine empathy with the Bentley, and let's not forget his powerful imagination that kept the Bentley intact through the M25 fire in season 1. Don't know if it has to do with his rank before he fell or not, but it's fun to speculate.
@@TLC62 I like to think that it was a combination of all of these things. I just hope that they can recreate it in Season 3 to beat Heaven and Hell and save the Earth.
1:55 I would've describe the entirety of season 2 as "sad", but there are many emotions in season 2, and of course sadness is one of them. But there are a lot of really cute and happy moments too, so there is crying but also a lot of smiles in season 2. And for me, I liked ir even better than season 1 for that reason, it made me feel a lot of things.
FINALLY someone who gets as excited as I do about this show xD I've been on AO3 for over 8 months now, reading fanfics about those two EVERY FREAKING DAY and I really, really, really needed this :') You're awesome, Morgan. Thanks for the reaction ^^
6:35 I just watched a video trying to figure out how and why Crowley fell, and one thing they pointed out was that Crowley's wings went from white to a light grey
The reason Crowley is is living in the Bentley is because his apartment is owned by Hell (unlike Aziraphale's bookshop, which he bought himself) so when he "retired" they kicked him out and gave it to Shax (the demon he met in the bench). Aziraphale doesn't know this, otherwise he would've let him stay at the bookshop, but Crowley is too proud to tell him so he's just living in his car
Morgan missed that Bohemian Rhapsody was playing in the background while Crowley and Aziraphale were in the coffee shop; Saraquel is supposed to the the Angel in the wheelchair
I might be wrong, but I think the person playing Nina the coffee shop girl also played that one Satanic nun in Season 1 who mixed up the babies so Adam went with his parents instead of the American ambassador.
You can also see Nina Sosanya (the actress) working with David Tennant in Casanova (playing a woman pretending to be a man who became one of Casanova's lovers) (David played Casanova). And also she appeared in one of his Doctor Who episodes (Fear Her).
Since I just watched Hazbin Hotel last week, I also thought how Crowley and Lucifer would be besties and already tried to plan for a fic, but getting the lore aligned is a bit of a nightmare 😂
I love that like this, I get to rewatch Good Omens whilst having the enjoyment of seeing someone else watch it for the very first time... Your laugh is so addictive too! And yes, you are in for a wild ride for season 2. Buckle up buttercup, this journey is about to be wild.
You are such a clever human. I didn’t notice the fly the first time, it’s actually important later. Also, your scream at the sixteen minute mark made me smile and laugh. Thanks, I needed that
My theory is why they’re both on earth even though Aziraphale’s heavenly position is the lowest of the low and Crowley is (used to be) one of the highest positions in hell is that heaven said “we don’t like you, go tend to earth” because they have a low opinion of humans and hell said “we love you, you get to leave hell and go enjoy earth”
One thing you may not have noticed- I didn’t at first, took me several rewatchings- but Crowley’s wings go from white to grey after he starts questioning. Which probably wasn’t the impetus for his Fall- but was the start of what led to it, certainly.
I am living for your reactions because i was SO the same...screaming and crying... but alone in my room watching s2!! I saw GO1 in january 2020. It changed my life. I never related and bonded to fictional characters like i did with these two. And to see them again this past summer in this scene....was such a sense of joy, i can't even properly describe it !!!
Nina and Maggie are named after their actresses - they’re played by Nina Sosanya & Maggie Service. Sosanya & Service notably both actually played nuns in S1 as well
Season 2 came out on my birthday, literally beat gift ever, and that's saying a lot because it was 18th so all the aunties pulled out the money envelopes
Neil Gaiman actually chose the name Lindsay for Nina's partner because it could be the name for a man or a woman. If you notice throughout the season, they never use any kind of pronouns for Lindsay, and NG has said on Tumblr that it's so if you want to imagine it as a queer relationship you can, or if you want to imagine a hetero relationship you can.

just a heads-up, both Beelzebub and Muriel use they/them pronouns. they do mention it for Beelzebub but I don't think Muriel's pronouns are ever mentioned in the show.
Tho th show uses they/them for beelzebub, gaiman once said in a tumblr reply that beelzebub's pronouns are 'probably zzzzzzir', being th lord of flies, tho has later suggested he doesn't 'think there is a canonical answer' n that it's just 'lord beelzebub'

There's also a room in the bookshop with the same shade of yellow painted on the walls!💛
Not sure you get to speak for the entire fandom.
Baby angel Crowley was so adorable. 🥺 Apparently, Crowley had a different name as an angel, but nobody knows what it is. 🤔
huh
Starting the episode with her screaming “F U” feels very poetic and I’m not entirely sure why.
At 6:47 if you look at the patch of space dust floating above Aziraphale and Crowley, it kinda looks like the letters F and U

@@GhostKingDeAngelo appreciate that bud but don’t mind me just doing my modding duties lol😁😁
In the galaxy creation scene, you noticed after that Crowley shielded Az from the meteors. Did you also notice that Crowley's wings already look darker than Az's after he started questioning??? 👀
SOMEONE ON PATREON TOLD ME THAT AND I HAVENT BEEN THE SAME SINCE
stop 😭😭
@@Morgan_Reacts @chwrleseyler it was so immediate. 'Sauntered vaguely downwards' indeed
“THE GAYS ARE SCRAMBLING MY THOUGHTS ONCE AGAIN” lollll
I love your reactions sm it’s exactly the level of unhinged that I want people to be when watching GO2
I'm so excited!! I love this series, you're probably the best reactor I've seen for good omens. Hope you've been liking it! :))
"I'm very good at forgiveness" WHY NEIL THAT WASN'T NECESSARY
Hey, just saying be careful with spoilers!
There is, In fact, one good landlord. He got all the landlord goodness. We love you Azi.
Not sure if anyone mentioned yet, but there was a small official audio that was done between seasons called Lockdown. It's only a couple of minutes long, so worth doing a quick reaction to.
Also, the video of the nuns singing "Brand New Baby Smell" is priceless.
_“Season 2 is kind of quiet, gentle and romantic. :)”_ - Neil Gaiman, pre-season release
You mentioned Covid Rules briefly, when Gabriel had to stay inside. Just reminded me, they did a covid audio "episode" about the lockdown. Have you heard it yet?? So cute.
I did! It was so cute 😭
I love Angel Crowley he's so happy and excited. I love his reaction to seeing Gabriel. Poor Arizaphale trying to talk to amnesia Gabriel and getting frustrated. The dance.
Yeah. Season 2 is Neil Gaiman's fanfic of his own book 😂😂😂
Fun fact: Shax the demon is played by Miranda Richardson who also played Madame Tracy in season 1.
(Wow, this is the first time I've seen the reactions and commented on them BEFORE they've been up for 3-4 years.)
If you can cast Queenie in your British show YOU CAST QUEENIE IN YOUR SHOW!
And Nina, the coffee shop lady, is the same actress who played Sister Mary Loquacious, which really threw me out of the loop for a sec, because I thought "how cute, the lovely satanic nun works at the coffee shop now... wait oh wait, it's a different character"
OH COOL
I just love seeing someone doing reaction videos getting so involved with all of material outside the show and being into fanfic as well, it's not something I see often and it's so great to watch someone fall in love with the fandom like this 💖💖💖
The Show: *literally five seconds into the episode*
Morgan: *already tearing up and about to cry*
I didn’t even notice the fly when “Jim” first got to the bookshop.
I can already see this is going to be a weird experience for Morgan.
I really can’t wait.
Your reactions are precious and we need to protect you at all costs! You asked about Alpha Centauri -- if you go back and rewatch the bit where Crowley puts his wing over Aziraphale, that's the sun that bounces off. You can even see two planets breaking off from the sun after it bounces!
It's not the sun, it's Alpha Proxima and the two small planets that break off are Alpha Centurai, link to season 1! ❤
@@clarestubbs9303 Okay, I thought Alpha Centauri was the name of the star system. I stand corrected 🙂
@@annemck At least I think so. I will check on Google later. 😁
@@TLC62 Ah yes, I hadn't thought of that! Good call. Everything he does is to protect Azi. ❤️
I don't know if you noticed but when they perform a miracle together, it's more powerful then anything heaven has ever seen ❤❤❤ isn't it cute? 😊
And for me, I liked ir even better than season 1 for that reason, it made me feel a lot of things.
would you describe it as "quiet, gentle and romantic" ? :') also, yeah I agree 100%!!
FINALLY someone who gets as excited as I do about this show xD
I've been on AO3 for over 8 months now, reading fanfics about those two EVERY FREAKING DAY and I really, really, really needed this :')
You're awesome, Morgan. Thanks for the reaction ^^
15:58 The scream sounded like a FNAF jumpscare!🤣🤣
About the flat: yes Crowley lives in his car now, because Shax is now his flat owner since she's a representative of Hell!
Also it's been 4 years since S1
AND crowley and aziraphell did perform a half miracel but together they where to strong!
6:35 I just watched a video trying to figure out how and why Crowley fell, and one thing they pointed out was that Crowley's wings went from white to a light grey
“This is such a fan fic trope” checks out considering Michael literally wrote GO fanfics.
Didn't he just read them, not write them?
I loved that you went back to rewatch some moments, I finally found a person on youtube who watches things the same way I do :3
The reason Crowley is is living in the Bentley is because his apartment is owned by Hell (unlike Aziraphale's bookshop, which he bought himself) so when he "retired" they kicked him out and gave it to Shax (the demon he met in the bench). Aziraphale doesn't know this, otherwise he would've let him stay at the bookshop, but Crowley is too proud to tell him so he's just living in his car
5:03
A fun/sad fact is that Crowley's feathers are ruffled. The stars being a glorified wall paper literally ruffles his feathers.
the tom scream rly got me XDDD
Morgan missed that Bohemian Rhapsody was playing in the background while Crowley and Aziraphale were in the coffee shop; Saraquel is supposed to the the Angel in the wheelchair
I love how much you love this show and ship. I love how emotional you get. Same.
You're in for a ride! I can't wait to see your reaction!
i love how emotional you are! it makes me feel like i'm watchind show with a passionate friend i hadn't at the moment i watched it :)
I might be wrong, but I think the person playing Nina the coffee shop girl also played that one Satanic nun in Season 1 who mixed up the babies so Adam went with his parents instead of the American ambassador.
I just looked it up and you're correct, can't believe I never realised that before! Also, both the actor and the character are named Nina
Nina's and Maggie's actors both played satanic nuns (different characters) in season one.
You can also see Nina Sosanya (the actress) working with David Tennant in Casanova (playing a woman pretending to be a man who became one of Casanova's lovers) (David played Casanova). And also she appeared in one of his Doctor Who episodes (Fear Her).
@@TLC62 And Staged, of course.
YES! I can't wait to see your reaction to season 2!
Since I just watched Hazbin Hotel last week, I also thought how Crowley and Lucifer would be besties and already tried to plan for a fic, but getting the lore aligned is a bit of a nightmare 😂
I'd actually love to read that lmao, hope it goes well !!
i would read it😂
He's starting up a nebula at the "before the beginining."
my advice for this season: Just enjoy it!
I love that like this, I get to rewatch Good Omens whilst having the enjoyment of seeing someone else watch it for the very first time... Your laugh is so addictive too! And yes, you are in for a wild ride for season 2. Buckle up buttercup, this journey is about to be wild.
Just a little detail: in the first scene, after Crowley has expressed all his questions and disagreements, his wings are just a little bit darker.
You are such a clever human. I didn’t notice the fly the first time, it’s actually important later. Also, your scream at the sixteen minute mark made me smile and laugh. Thanks, I needed that
30:26 you caught on WAY faster than i did my first watch!
Oh Morgan is going to have such words for this season
My theory is why they’re both on earth even though Aziraphale’s heavenly position is the lowest of the low and Crowley is (used to be) one of the highest positions in hell is that heaven said “we don’t like you, go tend to earth” because they have a low opinion of humans and hell said “we love you, you get to leave hell and go enjoy earth”
idk why but i wouldn't be surprised if Hazbin Lucifer duck obsession was tied to Crowley as Viv mentioned this show during live drawings few times
oh yes the nightingale is love
3:30 You should do a deep dive into the significance/symbolism of Alpha Centauri lol
One thing you may not have noticed- I didn’t at first, took me several rewatchings- but Crowley’s wings go from white to grey after he starts questioning. Which probably wasn’t the impetus for his Fall- but was the start of what led to it, certainly.
Yeah all S2 I was like “THIS FEELS LIKE FANFICTION BUT IT’S CANON” and I love it.
Sosanya & Service notably both actually played nuns in S1 as well
I love that they got teary-eyed within literally the first few seconds of the episode xD
good shit, and completely valid lmao
LOVE your reactions!!!!!! And now I need a "Team Crowley and Team Suggestion Box" shirt.
btw: The Actors of both Shop owners where the 2 Devil Nuns in Season 1 that mixed up the babies.
watching this with you is an absolute dream - im enjoying myself so much
The fact that my first watch through I didn't even notice the fly in the box. You're more observant than me
Season 2 came out on my birthday, literally beat gift ever, and that's saying a lot because it was 18th so all the aunties pulled out the money envelopes
The opening of the intro sequence lines up with the ending to the previous i to sequence, with Crowley climbing out of hell
Yay🎉 So glad you're finally watching season 2!
I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS SM you’re becoming my favourite reacting channel!!, i don’t wanna talk about this season because I don’t wanna spoil anything BUT I CAN DO FICS!!, there’s this post s1 fic that i love sm(it’s when the angels and demons try and figure out how did Azi and Crowley survived the trial which make them pretend they’re together!!!!) i have another fake-pretending fics but it’s au(THAT ONE IS AMAZING ALSO)

Fun little detail: look at Crowley’s eyes and compare them with the color of the walls in the bookshop.

I've seen many people (including myself) call it "Armagedon't"
Don't be scared of this season! It's a great romp with Aziracrow!
Fun fact, since Crowley has snake eyes as a demon it means he can no longer see the stars he made 😀
This is just a fan theory, not canon.
I would like to also point out for those who missed it that when the camera cuts back to Crowley at the beginning when he says “how much trouble can I get into for asking a few questions?” his wings get noticeably darker than they were in the previous shots of him showing that’s when his “saunter vaguely downwards” did start, you’re welcome ☺️
just a heads-up, both Beelzebub and Muriel use they/them pronouns. they do mention it for Beelzebub but I don't think Muriel's pronouns are ever mentioned in the show.
You're in for a wild ride😊
