I was always reading graphic novels in my high school library. Pretty much anything they had. Unfortunately they didn't have the entire series.
I found out about Miles Morales a couple years later and got pulled back in.

Peter was working towards a scholarship, and when your workingbtowards stuff like that, a adult should be upset. It's not anger , its fear, and a act of discipline.
I dont personally push my children like that, but I have a nephew that has an IQ through the roof, his parents push him. I understand why as well, he has a chance , a chance to be more, and when he starts making stupid mistakes , or skips school, he gets in trouble.
Peter was a straight A student and then he suddenly got a D. Its obvious that hes not making a mistake. Hes just not trying. May and Ben know this. They know that hes just fucking around insstead of doing work.
if Norman did pull of the experiment properly him and peter would’ve been sexually drawn to each other… cause that’s what happens with Silk… so maybe green goblin wasn’t the worst outcome 🤷🏻♂️

I feel like the whole situation of them being Sexually Drawn to each other is because they wanted to force a relationship in one way or another, they got lucky that the rest wasn't badly written.

@@werovivero9219 Pretty much: The ultimates have their version of their "civil war event" and I THINK the (puninsher?) tries to assassinate captain America, but spiderman senses it, and takes the bullet for cap. He passes out, wakes back up, but everyone just left him (its explained that they did something (I forgot what or how much they actually did?) and at this time the Goblin learns Peter's identity so he and the sinister 6 goes to peters house, so peter with the gun wound goes to the house to fight. He meets up with ice man and johnny from fantastic four, and fights the Sinister 6, but they TEAR HIM TO SHREEEEEEDS.

Just realized how much the amazing Spider-Man was influenced by this comic
The original Sam Raimi movies were also influenced by this comic a lot, I mean they took direct dialogue from one issue when Jonah Jameson is introduced in this universe. Also the thing that him and Harry are friends in the raimi universe came from this comic, so both series actually took a lot from this. Also the spider wasn’t radioactive in the Raimi universe it was genetic like this universe, and also the wrestling match I almost exactly the same, except it was real in the original Spider-Man movie, for some reason.

@@dustedjotaro3078 yeah I agree with you man, if Spider-Man no way home is just another villain that Tony stark screwed over, and then Peter has to clean up the mess, I will be dissapointed greatly, how about this just do a sinister six movie, you already have the vulture and scorpion who’s played by Michael mondo, Vaas from far cry three and nacho from better call Saul, just do it, and they got mysterio down to a tee as well.

@@dustedjotaro3078 no I did watch far from home, aside from Jk Simmons as Jameson again, and mysterio being pretty accurate, it’s just kind of forgettable and bland. I said no way home, not far from home, you know the one that’s supposed to come out this year, that’s supposedly supposed to have toned maguire and Andrew Garfield in it, even though there’s no indication of that other than doctor strange being in it.
Before I start watching this video I want to say: Ultimate Spider-man is to this day one of the all-time best depictions of the character.

Wow, the Ultimate version of Peter not stopping the robber was pretty dumb.
Especially how he got chewed out by the deli owner, like, to his knowledge it's just some kid who walked by the corner.
Him not stopping the robber because he was shorted on a paycheck works better to show him on one hand justifiably getting upset with a crappy boss and letting something bad happen in his own sense of karma. And then twisting that around when he sees the consequences with uncle Ben, but more importantly him getting criticized made sense there since his boss knew he could've easily dealt with that guy.
It was more personal and did show both sides to that, something the ultimate version seems to lack even if it hits the same beats.
Also I really don't like the idea of the robber happening to rob their house, and I think him shooting Ben in anger over a joke is kinda dumb.
Like, there was no resisting it was just an old man chatting. I get plenty of criminals are like that, they don't like jokes, but dude just turned his robbery felony into fuckin murder for nothin.
You talking about the Raimi origin story? Because in the comics he was a minor celebrity that didn't stop the robber because he didn't care to at the moment

Got the Gameboy Advance game for USM when I was little. Played it hundreds of times. Now reading through the comic and playing Insomniac. The fact Venom is making a debut in Insomniac 2 made me look back to the Ultimate universe. Fantastic version!!!
