Hands down, the Golf GTi is the best all rounder for a performance C segment. Nothing really comes close to it for its price range when it comes to practicality and value. As someone who used to fanboy over Evos and WRXs, I would take a GTi anyday (Especially when one is dead and another has turned into a pile of vomit). As much as the international car communities ridicule the GTi for being "boring", the car still makes a lot of sense for what it offers.
I’m 59 years old. It’s really my most favorite car I’ve ever owned. And I just love the new interior, the infotainment system & the capacitive buttons. Really. It’s just a great car.
12:34 : when you want to go fast, there is always a perodua that blocks you; when you wanna go slow, there is always a perodua that tailgates you couldn't agree more
Its not a Perodua thing. Perodua makes great cars for the money. Its the typical Msian crap drivers thing, which happen to also drive a Perodua. Because car guy drivers people like you and YS Khong is in the minority. The majority are useless drivers, incompetent on the road, and Perodua has the largest marketshare of car sale. So chances are high, these typical Msian drivers also drive a Perodua. But its not a Perodua thing. Its fuked up typical Msian driver thing. The majority are like that. If these stupid typical Msian drivers put in more efforts in their life, and be smart n competent like the Perodua company does, they would be driving GTIs, BMWs, Benz, etc. But how they drive, lacklustrely, also reflect how they live their life. That's why ppl with nicer cars, who made it without inheritance from rich parents, also tend to drive better.
GTI. Hand down. The Arteon is probably the most overlooked luxury car (and I do think it’s a luxury car), but the GTI is just super fun, agile, and versatile. And while the reviewer thinks it’s too stiff, I strongly disagree. And just to let you know, I’m a 59 year old female. I find the drive quality perfectly comfortable, even on long drives. I got the base S trim. It’s perfect for me. But the upper trims definitely have some cool tech.
As a former Subaru fanboy, I'll would take the GTi anyday over the current body cladded disaster WRX. Though we do get the manual for the current WRX. Unfortunately the GTi is DSG only.
The Autobahn trim does. And it’s super easy to use. The reviewer is struggling with the interface, but believe me, it’s easy. I’m an older woman & it took me about 2 days to get the entire system.
You probably have the adaptive dampers on stiff. Old guy reviewers are killing off capacitive buttons 😢. They’re great. I love them. The hand swiping thing is just silly. Other than that, the tech is great & super easy once you live with the car for like two days.

Compare new to new, an Audi A3 starts at RM 320k. How much is a new S3? Not even on thr same price bracket as GTI. If compare used, why buy S3 when RS3 is there for about RM 280-320k, not far from a used S3 around RM230-240k. So why S3? I did my extensive research on the previous gen RS3 sportback and the new GTI 8 is better proposition.
GTI is the OG of hot hatches.
just when i am thinking have you ever review golf gti... this video came
They have stiffened the chassis. But it’s also better over bumps and such. Former 7.5 owner here. The chassis is just a huge improvement. Really.

Dcc in individual mode is to adjust the stiffness....
You had me at “it’s lovely”
Arteon or GTi? Which would u prefer? If space not a question
GTI for me more agile and nimble

My one side love, GTI and WRX.

Does the GTi have adaptive suspension ?
Its called DCC, where Bobby missed during the individual settings, DCC is the one at the top.
Yup, for daily usage u can adjust it softer....more softer than comfort.

You can push it to Stage 2 to get 300+HP
My wife owned the mk8 gti & previously the mk6. I just tumpang usage laa...she is the car enthusiast 😀

My
Dream. . .
Bahahahahahahaha chill la bruhh
#perodua
Hahaha hilarious Perodua's drivers. Chill Bro 😂
I like this comment, it's the perodua drivers, not the perodua, specific comment for 12:35 which mention perodua instead of perodua drivers.

My Arteon makes me smile😊
Legendary unreliable
I rather get a S3 than a GTI, given the state of lousy designed buttons MK8 has got
