Thank you so much. My old bulb's plastic stem was cracked, and so I was so befuddled why it wasn't coming out. The bulb was all loosey-goosey but not releasing. After watching you, I knew that I needed to look closer at the bulb and that's when I saw the cracked stem. Used a pair of forked pliers and I was good. I can't thank you enough!
Watched this video, walked out with the trash in one hand and the new bulb in the other. Dropped the trash off in the bin, and then popped the new bulb in on my way back in. Thanks to this video!! 👍 You made it look easy, so figured even I could do it!
My 4th Gen 2008 4Runner has the turn signal bulb in a different location- under the hood in a housing that has the headlight bucket, DRL, etc. Probably sounds easier than getting down on the ground like you had to but I think your location is easier to access-especially for 30 second job. Thanks.
Thank You for showing Me what I need to do. Things I need to learn to be able to take care of without My Son and Paying for little maintenance at a shop.
Just finished replacing both L/R bulbs. The bumper support above the RH turn signal was floating around in there and I reattached it to the snap points. I had to partially loosen the headlight which has (4) screws and the radiator snap clip cover and the bumper top vanity strip to get to the screws; the outboard headlight screw is STUPIDLY placed and I did not remove it, but you would have to use a 10mm ratchet gear wrench from below. Suggestion: you should do a video on headlight swap out.
I need to replace the whole plastic case, and the bulb in my 2003 Runner. I cannot find out how to do this. I went through the drive through, brushless carwash, and both bulbs blew, and the case of each side was full of water. I have ordered the cases (lenses) and bulbs, but how do I change them out? Thanks.
@@Flyinclutchman206 yes. There should be a sticker on the back of the cover you remove that tells you what fuses are what it refer to the owners manual for a list of which fuse is for what.
Man, you're awesome. Everyone says "you can find it on UA-cam." But without folks like you to record the videos I'd be hopeless. Thanks a bunch.

Thx for the video, followed the instructions I just changed mine
Very helpful, much appreciated
I have a 2005 4Runner Limited
Thank you for the video gave me the info I needed. I will tackle it tomorrow
Sylvania, not sylvan. It is a 3157NA (O'Reilly's amber) with the blade socket. Good quick video; I just needed to know how to get to it. Thumbs up!

FYI this is for 03-05 not 06-09
I'm guessing the difference is that 06-09 have the blinker on the actual headlight, where 03-05 has it on the fog lights only?
Thank you! Needed this!
Thank you so much, this video was a big help!
Much thanks, was afraid I'd have to take the whole bumper apart to get to it
Thanks for your video.
Nice short guide ty. Althought turns out my bulb is fine, probably gets electricity shortage somewhere..
Check your fuse
Awesome!!!!!Thanks!!!!
Thanks man I appreciate it 😁
Anybody know if I can order this bulb? And what’s it called? Or do I have to go into the Toyota parts department?

Question, does that mean there is no blinker on the actual headlight? Just the foglight?
Yes. Some models may be wired with two but to my knowledge it is only the lower light and the rear.
Camera work is pretty rough, might want to try getting some help on the next one maybe to hold the camera.
How do you change a bulb socket
You could cut the wires, strip them and use shrink wrap wire connectors to reattached the new socket.
my bulb would not go in, so i lightly oiled the end, then it finally clipped in
Thanks for the insight!
Just be careful with oil because you don’t want your bulb to short out.
I followed these steps and it doesn't work unfortunately :(
Try checking your fuses. It may not be the bulb that is actually burnt out it could be a fuse.
@@bullseyenate231 oh gotcha! Ty! Under the steering wheel correct?
