It’s like everything else after you have it you won’t leave home with out it. I watch so many people across the pond and it’s crazy what they can do but it’s going to take some of these boys to try it. If they send them out like they do new machines it would work

@@randywilson6869 I guess it all depends on the (extra) cost of a tiltrotator. Chris either doesn't seem to think he has use for one or he doesn't see the added value of it, so I don't hink he would want to pay extra for it. And like he said, it DOES add extra complexity, so extra potential failures.

The catch to that is the weight. There is the thumb already on there, how much extra weight is the rotator?

@@Blazer02LS Very good point. Weight is a serious factor in deciding between what attachments you need and what you would like.

People often say a tiltrotator is expensive, but in fact its not. As long as you have a "Sandwich Coupler" so you can drop it off, for the use of Breakers or Clearing tools and such. But in landscaping and so it can replace a small grader, maybe a skidsteer, as its the perfect toolcarrier for Grading Beams, Compactors, Mulchers and much other tools that often need to be used at different angles, especially in combination witch oilquick or the steelwrist coupler thats quite the same.

Of all the new things that they have on excavators I think the two most impressive useful things that they’ve come up with is being able to calculate and cut a slope or dig. It is specific depth no matter what elevation you’re driving on. That would be so so sweet, it would save me a ton of time jumping in and out or having someone put a damn stick in the hole every 15 or so feet. And you’re right about not knowing how to run all the new stuff, they keep it up. it’s gonna be too complicated For most people to use but then again in the future I think that is their goal is to have somebody sit in their car and run the excavator or in an office off a monitor. It’s just getting so crazy with technology.

    • @martymartin2894

Nice machines. Especially that EC400 looks very nice.
The obvious standard tracks though look a little narrow. Probal they have wider versions. It does not matter when they are standing on rocks, but taking those larger ones to a softer ground might be ”interesting”.
Roto-tilt is a useful system when you work around buildings, houses and all types of infrastructure like cables, pipes etc. With tongs you can move other stuff like small walk behind compactors.
The only job you might have used roto-tilt was when you filled the swimming pool with rocks and you had to turn your bucket.
In wast majority of your projects a thumb is much more useful.

    • @gravelydon7072
      @gravelydon7072 2 місяці тому

Electric excavators have there uses but for the type of work you do in the places you work you would have to cart around a gas or diesel powered generator to every job site. I’d like to know how long they will run on a full charge. I wouldn’t think that they would run for 8 or more hours before needing to be recharged but I may be wrong. I can’t even imagine how much it would cost to replace the batteries.

Awesome new equipment! Those tilt rotor buckets must be a European thing. I watched Duck Girl do her thing with them. Amazing what one person can accomplish. She is a one person construction crew. Regarding the electric equipment. Most construction sites do not have power on them, let alone enough power to charge one or more large pieces of equipment. How do they purpose you charge them?

The tiltrotators are getting traction also in NA, although slowly.

Straight up, Chris. The electric excavator has a little bucket on it. I suspect a bigger bucket will cripple usage time? I think it is slow to respond, too?

Well Mr. Customer, I got 30 minutes of digging done with the electric excavator, we'll be back tomorrow after a good night's charge.
Does that machine stay powered on long enough to dig a hole big enough to bury itself in? If so, by all means, make good use of that time...

So, for the electric version you would need a portable generator to recharge battery's or solar panels and hope the sun shines? Really cool to see Tony Beets. The 550 looks to be a winner.

That is an Engcon tiltrotator, you can put it on eny excavator old or new, small to big.
And it's not just for a bucket, the amount of different stuff you can put under these will blow your mind.
UA-cam "Engcon" and let your dreams fly free 😁
Cheers from Sweden, were 90% of all the excavators have these since 30yrs back 👍
