- A No Dig (or No Till) garden bed is an ideal way to install a new garden bed because it does not disrupt the balance of the existing soil and it is much easier than removing sod! Today I am starting the process of installing my 4th No Dig garden bed, and we’re going through it together step by step!

I just love your channel! You actually show practical gardening, the kind that the average homeowner can accomplish. Your gardens are just wonderful!
@@dianetemple4243 Thank you so much!! I really know I have work to do to make my videos and recording better, so I’m so grateful to know you’re still enjoying my channel. That is so encouraging!
You’re quickly becoming a favorite channel to watch. I’m here because I am trying to learn how to garden. I appreciate you showing all the steps. Your garden is beautiful!
@@Ashley_Christine Thank you so much Ashley! 🫶🏻 Let me know if you ever have any questions! I’m not an expert, but I’m happy to share what I’ve learned! ❤️
Wow, what a ton of work for a Sunday afternoon! I’m tired just from watching you. I’m looking forward to seeing what you plant in your new bed. A new garden space offers so many possibilities, doesn’t it? It always gets my creative juices flowing. I am not allowing myself to start anymore new beds (for now!) as I have enough trouble trying to stay on top of the ones I already have. Happy planning and planting! 😊
@@NancyMoras I’m definitely with you on that…. I do recall saying at the beginning of Spring, “no more beds!”. Had I not already had a few plants in this area, I likely wouldn’t have installed another… but it is certainly fun to do! 😆
I’m jealous of your rocks! 🪨
@@alice_rabbit8345 ❤️ I’m going to tell my husband and sons this… it’s been a long standing joke with them on my obsession with my rocks! 😂
Wow you look so beautiful and tomboyish in those red overalls and you’re such a hardworker in them! 😊 awesome job on this video! ☺️
I so enjoyed this video! Discovered your channel after watching your visit with Janey from Dig Plant Water Repeat. Thank you for showing all the steps in no till garden beds!! ❤
@@maryrasnick7642 Hi there!! Thank you! 😊
Hi Lacey, I’m so excited to watch your channel. Because of your close proximity to me. I’m loving everything you try and yes not everything works but I’m learning so much from you. So this is Sunday video. Monday we woke up to the glorious rain. Light rain but it still dusted off the leaves. I getting my soil there next week. I wish I could gift you a bunch of Tall Shasta daisies.
@@terrypauloregon Isn’t this rain a gift?! I’m so thankful for it. 🥰 And I’m really glad you’re enjoying and relating to what I share… that makes me so happy!!
New garden beds are so fun…Thanks for sharing your process which has obviously worked so well for you as we can see how beautiful the rest of your garden is…I wish I had saved all the cardboard I had when we moved here..I did save the cardboard box the couch came in because it was so thick and large I thought it would be great to use for a no till bed with all the mountain grass and thistle…Now I will save every box for all the upcoming orders I have coming in
@@gardenloveinthemountains I’ve learned it’s great to ask at places like Costco or where they have large stacks of product because they have cardboard in between the layers! Plus, they don’t have tape or staples, etc. I’ll try to go that route if I ever do another bed like this!
Hi Lacey, Love your new bed and your rocks too! love you find them right on your property. I love rocks too I could almost say my back yard is a stone quarry now. hahahaha i get a lot of field rocks in my area, zone 5 Indiana. I have this hard clay dirt and someone just told me that if it's so hard to dig in, water it for a bit and by golly the shovel does go in a lot easier! crazy! thanks for sharing and don't forget things can always be moved if you don't like it in one place. gardeners are never done with one area. Genie : )
@@dennymeyer1287 Hi there! I really need to remember to water the space before I plant! And you and me both with our rock quarries! 🤗🤭
Hello from Wisconsin, Im new to your channel. Love it, such a pretty yard & nice no dig garden. This will be awesome when you have it all planted up. Nice layout.
@@beccab7522 Hey there! Thank you so much! I appreciate you being here and for your kind comment! ❤️
I would like to try this method. Seems so much easier than digging out the grass. 😊 My husband is just worried about the grass trying to regrow into the flowerbed. We may need to do pavers or rocks around the edge.
@@jerilyn-ourhomeschooltable Yes, that does happen, but for any bed, really. I have to occasionally re-edge the beds but eventually the grass gets the message and doesn’t creep in as much. 🤭
@@myrusticgardens Ok. Good to know. 😃 I have no gardening experience AT ALL. So I need simple to start with.
Hi Lacey! Love seeing how new beds are prepared. Can’t wait to see how your new space comes along and which plants you have in mind. Thanks for taking us along! Your overalls are too cute. Do you mind sharing where they are from?
Happy gardening! 🌿👒🪴

@@myrusticgardens Cool…thanks Lacey! 👏🏼
