Wellstar Kennestone Hospital Turns 70!

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital opened its doors 70 years ago #OnThisDay. At the time, the Marietta Daily Journal described it as "a majestic four-story edifice on the gentle slope of ancient and historic Campbell Hill Street." It was, no doubt, a storybook beginning for a hospital that would come to mean so much for the community. Kennestone grew and expanded together with our Marietta, Cobb and metro Atlanta populations, always staying ahead of the curve and serving everyone who came through these doors with expertise and compassion. Kennestone turns 70 today, looking better than ever, and together, we mark a celebration of the leaders, team members and outstanding community who made it all possible, overcoming each challenge along the way. Here's to another 70 years of stories, victories, advancements in medicine, community events, family moments and around-the-clock compassionate care!
