@@Ashitaka0815 source? I'm pretty sure bikes like the R1, S1000RR, and H2 produce a hell of a lot more emissions than the R6 did. They scream just as much. Maybe 2-3 thousand RPM less, but they've also got 400+ cc to deal with.

just got the long awaited ecu flash and I haven't got a chance to test ts but so far even accel in low gears has improved. so glad i did it, it was a great decision in the long run
That's a tuned r1 for sure. The odometer stops at 299 regardless. The bike had all of 6th gear to go

yes the r7 was not going full throttle with second and even with first you can olmost go full thottle if you lean foward that was a weak launch
R1 accelerates as fast as a Veyron super Sport for ~15k… ok

Yeeeea not really ridable in the city. The sitting position is still a bit extreme imo. I have one and i dont prefer it in the city over the z650.
Idk it’s looking better and better the more I look into it. It still hit 140mph which is only like 30mph lower than r6 (from what I’ve seen to be the average which is like 160-180ish). Might not hit the speed as quickly but it gets there still😂

Funny you say that, I was riding litre bikes for a couple of decades, in actual fact I owned one of the first R1’s into my country back in the day and have had 3 of them but nearly always had bikes 750cc or larger with the exception of a couple of zx6r’s and one CBR600.
A few years ago I was overseas for a stint and bought a little 150cc Suzuki, which with the help of a local friend I stripped back and rebuilt from the ground up. It was 150cc, 6 speed manual box with about 18hp (might have been 16hp), but in any case after a couple of months messing with it and changing virtually everything on it I had a serious little weapon (with crazy skinny tyres on it) & to be honest, it’s a bag of fun to ride…..it revs like there’s no tomorrow & if you get on it too early in the bend you can actually get the rear spinning on it & slide it through the corners. I’ve had it for about 15 years now & haven’t ridden it for 5 (mainly because I’m living abroad again) but can’t wait to get back home and get it running again. With a bike like that you really need to work hard & be right on it 100% if the time to extract the best out of it. Back in the day, I use to take it out around the city streets at night and drag other streetsters there, it was a lot of fun. Big HP can make you lazy at time.
I’m an old bastard & back when I first started riding what we considered sports type bikes, there was none of this 100hp stuff with slipper clutches and rider modes 😂, I mean it was drum brakes and spending Friday nights cleaning your Carby’s out so you could be ready for a Saturday morning blast with your mates.
I remember years ago having a Wayne Gardner Special, itv as a 500cc Honda something or rather (I literally can’t remember what it was but would have an old paper photo if it somewhere, maybe mid 1980’ies & I was out hauling arse like there was no tomorrow & to be honest looking back it was a bag of shit compared to what we are riding now 🤣🤣
In the 1970ies I was riding a Kawasaki GPZ750, it had about 50hp & the brakes were rather scarey for its weight 😂, you could hear it coming alright as we had split the exhaust and ripped most of the baffling out from inside……there was no buying a Yoshi pipe for it🤦♂️
But sone of my fondest memories were from riding Suzuki 2stroke 250’s (RGV250) I been again this was in the 1980ies and let me tell you, you really knew you were alive punching through the apex of a corner with about 12,000rpm on board and ur ass was puckering let me tell you but you’re probably rolling your eyes at another old guy telling war stories, plenty of fun to be had on smaller capacity bikes back in the day, let me tell you 🤣
@@GR8Tmatethat was an awesome read mate.. bikes back then sounded like a lot of fun, I’ve only just recently got my license and picked up a little ninja 400 and it does the job.
My father in law has actually told me some stories about the old RGV 250’s, he owned one 20 odd years ago now, apparently that thing was a little weapon mate 😂 screaming little 2 stroke sport bike I couldn’t even imagine something like that on the streeets nowadays, would be a pleasure to see/ ride one.
@@PabloM5 You will have slot of fun on the Ninja 400 Pele, no doubt about it. I’m too old to ride sports style bikes anymore but I am seriously considering buying a new Kawasaki Z900. My only issue is getting my leg over it because I have a spine injury (& I’m just getting old) but once I’m on the bike I feel really good. Over the years I’ve know guys that have ridden up until their late 80ies but the use to ride things like Yamaha Viragos etc & that would be almost as bad as death itself 🤣.
The little 2 stroke bikes back in the day (Suzuki & Yamaha had them) were just like FIRECRACKERS, basically not much would happen until you got them at a certain point in the rev range (powerband) then boom off they’d go. Tbh, they were deadly in the wet 😂.
Back to you, if you’re completely new to motorcycling then I strongly recommend that you do sone advanced rider training courses and even if you have dirt bike experience, the advanced rider courses are great because they teach you about ‘Roadcraft’ and that’s an important part of learning to ride (to stay alive). Too often these days I see too many kids riding their bikes, they hold the wrong position on the road, ride in blind spots, failing to ride defensively etc etc. I’ve done a few courses over the years and sone track work, I’ve ridden throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, Australia & New Zealand…….once it’s in your blood, that’s it, always there.
Probably some of the most fun I’ve had in recent years was whilst travelling through NSW & I did a couple of laps along the Oxley highway. Came up behind a group of young 20-30yo’s on their sports bikes (about 50 of them) and as they blasted west I slowly picked them off, one by one as we weaved our way across to the next township…….(Walcha) where I stopped to have lunch. I was in the carpark when these guys rode up to where I had just stopped and was organising myself……..& a few of them were really surprised when I took my kid off and they were all a little shocked as they realised they’d been bagged up by a guy old enough to be their grandfather 🤣, I think a few of them had a bit of a bruised ego’s……but I ended up eating with them and we had a few laughs, so bikes can even bridge the generations.
Sadly, I think slot will be lost when bikes become electric, they’ll be fast but lack soul, it’s kind of the way of the future and I’m really grateful that I lived in the times I lived in.
I hope you have a great time on your Ninja 400, remember to focus on being smooth, smooth = fast, also never forget that most car drivers are morons and they don’t look for bikes, stay well away from cars, enjoy yourself, keep smiling.
@@GR8Tmate I would absolutely love to experience riding throngs different countries like you have mate, that sounds like a blast. I’m situated at Ormeau in south-east Queensland and I feel pretty lucky that we have some of what a lot of people would consider a few of the best roads in Australia within riding distance from me. I’m all about that adventure though, I love getting out and about and experiencing new things.
I am quite new to riding I’ve only had my restricted (RE) license for about a year, so another 12 months or so and I can get my opens 🤙🏽. I’m keen to do a few advanced courses that focus on cornering, body position, and pretty well anything else that’s involved because I love riding but I want to her really good and being a defensive rider as well, I must admit I’m guilty of riding like a bit of a goose sometimes, but aren’t we all 😂.
The fact that you picked em off 1 by 1 shows that experience is everything mate, would’ve been an awesome chat you had with them in Walcha.
How did you come about riding across the whole world mate If you don’t mind me asking, did you travel with the purpose to ride? That’s something I’m really looking forward to doing would be great to get some insight from somebody who’s been there and done that 👍🏾
@@PabloM5 It’s a small world, some of my most fondest memories come from blasting around not far from your place at Ormeau, Mt Tamborine and the back way off the hill and out to places like the natural arch & Beaudesert. I’m a long way from you now although some years ago I lived on the Sunshine Coast and there’s a few rides around there near the glasshouse mountains or up through the Mary River. These days I live in the south of Tasmania, some great biking roads down here and not too many people on them, just came back from a blast out to Port Arthur and back to Hobart via Dunalley, its COld but it 👌🏼
I grew up in different parts of Asian because my father was a corporate man who got moved from location to location. I then got to travel and work overseas, which is the main reason I got to ride in the Middle East and Europe. That said, I will be blunt, riding in the Middle East was nothing special, stinking hot, dusty and nobody there cares about bikers, the only good thing about riding over there back in the day is you could ride as fast as you dare or as quick as the bike would carry you & at that point there were no speed cameras and the cops couldn’t care less, I’m sure it’s changed now.
Many years ago I was riding from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, riding a current model R1, the speedo was pretty much pegged to its limit dancing around in the 290ies and all of a sudden I heard a strange noise…..kind of frightened me as I scanned the gauges when all of a sudden two locals stormed past me in a Ferrari like I was parked up 😂. Mad buggers had line me up and chased me down just for the hell of it, as they passed me they were madly grinning and the passenger waving 👀. Back in the day you only need worry about a dromedary or camel

Everyone of us has pushed pour luck from time to time but I’ve always said that the road is no place to learn to ride a bike. Everyone should start off in the bush and by the time you make it to the bitumen the bike is merely an extension of your body and at that point you learn ‘Roadcraft’ , but it’s just an opinion & as you know opinions are like bumholes, everyone has one 😁
There are some great Dams to ride around not far from your place, I can’t think of their names (Somerset) etc but you’d need to be really careful riding around the GC, they’re literally crazy on that Hwy there, they swap lanes at the blink of an eye, I’d stick to the roads west, north and south of the place. Another great ride from the GC is down to Murwillumbah and out to Nimbin, Lismore, Coffee Camp and all those good places.
You could even shoot south one afternoon and ride to port Macquarie, stay somewhere there overnight before hitting the Oxley Hwy, IMHO, one of the best roads in Australia. I just wouldn’t bother on a weekend……too busy.
You are lucky living where you are atm, you can pretty much ride year round and the weather is good, down here you base your rides around when the batteries in your heated gloves are going to expire cos it’s a tad cold

R7 is a 1200hp nissan gtr compared to r3 after 100kmh. r3 struggles to reach 150kmh and r7 gets pretty easily to 200kmh

Tf are these guys talking, maybe in the first seconds r3 and r7 are similar, but you got to shift three times in r3 in order to reach 100km/h unlike r7 which on first gear easily gives you more than the double torq that the r3

The R7 is a piece of crap. I have tried to find one to compete with my Tuono 660 . Finally I came upon on one on upper big Tujunga canyon. My little Touno 660 destroyed that thing. I am a big bike guy but this tiny 404lbs bike is a monster. It is slow compared to my V4 Touno but do we really need 170hp.

most r1s that i have seen can ofc get to that speed or even higher but they didn't reach 315kph as fast as the one on this video

r125 is basically an r15, just with 25 less cc's of engine so if the r125 can go up to 195kmh r15 can do 200, its very similar so yeah. also r25 was also left out too but its just an r3 with a smaller engine again
edit: i was MEGA dumb and probably haven't slept for like 2 days when i wrote that comment. i agree that an r15 or an r125 cannot go even close to 195kmh ever lmao, i probably got the mixed up with the r25/r3 with my goofy ah half working brain

I cant believe how slow the 125 is. Progress forgot small bikes didn't it! 2 stroke 125s were doing 6s 30 years ago. I know 4 strokes were always slower but i'd have thought they would have gotten better in all those years.
Displacement means nothing, a two stroke 125 is a completely different engine
Most 125s are, for european law, restricted to 11kw power for the A1 motorcycle licence
That's because you can ride 125cc 15hp bikes in Europe with your cars driver license. So most bikes in these class are build around that regulation, sure you could squeeze much more out of 125cc four stroke, but most are build for commuting anyways so fuel economy is much more important on these.
