Tried doing this on my own and missed the step about the config files, now it works after watching this. Im surprised there aren't more guides like this about getting it to work through nexus so thx mayne
Its surprising. There really isn't a good guide out there for installing in a mod manager and keeping multiple profiles so you can keep your other game save. Glad you got it working!
No problem! Yeah I spent damn near a week trying to figure out the simplest solution since I didnt want to nuke my vanilla F4 with all my existing mods. Glad you got it to work.
Great guide, only thing to note is sometimes mods you already have even using the reinstall button doesnt do anything and you have to completely remove and add it back, now I can finally play Survival mode with quicksaves enabled
Hopefully u see this but I have mods for the updated version of fo4 am I able to still play that version of the game while still having fo4 London being downgraded
Yes this process should in theory allow you to run two different versions of the game. Although I have not tried this personally myself I don't see why it wouldn't as long as you have the correct F4SE version for each version of the game and are launching through Vortex using the process I showed in this video.
I don't know what I did, it had already worked for me, but now it doesn't work. I tried to change things in the . ini files to lower the quality and make it more fluid, but London didn't want to work anymore. I also tried to do the whole process you explain here again and it doesn't work. At first it would throw up the crash window, and now it definitely doesn't work. I hit run, the screen goes black and closes. If I use the Fallput 4 profile without London, it does open, but London doesn't work. Could you help me? 😢
Like it doesn't work at all or doesn't have good performance? To me it seems like the ini files associated with the Fallout London Profile isn't using the correct ini files.
Ive got a small list of mods for fallout london that ive downloaded but no matter what i do i cant get the plugins to work in game even though all of them are enabled in the plugin tab on vortex, pls help me.
There is very strong possibility that the fallout London mod is overwriting the mods you are trying to add. Some of those mode could potentially break Fallout London as well. However try to put them towards the end of you load order to keep Fallout London from overwriting them. Also try running the built in LOOT for Vortex.
@circuitscore thank you for replying to me I've actually found out what the problem was. The latest version of Fallout London includes several other mods that it didn't originally. Including but not limited to buffout and address Library. Since I had those mods separate and enabled in my load order they were conflicting but once I turned them off everything worked just fine.
Did you make sure to copy the ini files to the My Games/Fallout 4 directory in Documents. I had the same issue until I replaced the ini files and then it worked. Also make sure the Fallout London profile is active while updating the ini files the Vortex knows to preserve the other files when switching profiles.
Glad to hear it! Vortex will preserve your ini files per profile but you are right. The data files will still be modified since it's pointing to the same install directory for both profiles.
Make sure the Fallout London profiles is active and that the ini files are replaced while this profile is active since we are having Vortex manage multiple settings files using this tutorial.
when i 7Z the data folder it says it is compressed and that vortex can't use that folder making it so i can't install the mod im sure i am just very confused here but i have rewatched the same 3 minutes of the video several times now and it's not helping me

Big thanks for the help man. I had no freaking clue what to do with GOG, and I def wanted to do a separate profile for it.
No problem! Yeah I spent damn near a week trying to figure out the simplest solution since I didnt want to nuke my vanilla F4 with all my existing mods. Glad you got it to work.
Thanks a lot! This is the one tutorial after many others that actually managed to help me get this working.
No problem! Glad it worked!
I really like your channel. You give clear instructions and have good thumbnails. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I try to keep things simplified while not dragging the video too long. Also I probably spend way too much time on thumbnails haha.
@circuitscore Thumbnails are the bridge between the viewer and your content. It's better to put in too much time.
That's true! It's one thing a lot of newer channels don't realize.

Thank you! That is a good point. I disabled all of my mods prior to this process and then reinstalled them in Vortex for my other profile.
Under __config theres no ini files but the rest of the folders names are the same. Is it the same, or do i have to do something diffrent
You might have something different. I just checked my folders under GOG Galaxy/Games and I have a __Config folder with ini files inside.
Hopefully u see this but I have mods for the updated version of fo4 am I able to still play that version of the game while still having fo4 London being downgraded

Nice! Ill keep this in mind if I do any tweaking myself with FO London. Thanks for letting me know!
ive done everything perfectly, but it does not work for me, i see fallout london logos and dialogue, but its normal fallout 4

@@circuitscore I got working eventually, you still have to ruin your files for fallout 4 even if you’re on mod manager

I don’t understand. I get the data file and put it into Vortex, then I copy the .ini from fallout london into fallout 4 itself? Why?
Make sure the Fallout London profiles is active and that the ini files are replaced while this profile is active since we are having Vortex manage multiple settings files using this tutorial.
@@circuitscore What if there is an update? How would Fallout London update when you’re putting it in Vortex and not using the installer?
I will test this out however I believe you will have to update in GOG zip the data folder again and install on vortex with the merge function.
@@circuitscore Would I lose my save data?
No Vortex has those save files saved.
Could you slow the fuck down for us thats not so good with computers?
Its a on demand video. You can go back and slow down the video yourself. Also be more respectful.
I was trying to keep it to the point without he video dragging on for too long. Like the other commentor mentioned feel free to rewatch the video ;)

You could also try just dragging that entire folder over or instead of 7zip you could try to use the standard zip format.
