Expanding on the points you made about the GTR, I'm betting one of the reasons is that, especially when taking the entire history of the GTR nameplate and the Skyline, it doesn't really live up to the legend, I think. It's a goddamn good car, don't get me wrong. It just kind of feels like the red-headed stepchild of the Skyline/GTR family.
The 05 zx6r you saw when we met is surprisingly comfortable!! It’s got a real wide seat so it looks a little chunky lol but so comfortable

The 'tick tick tick' while turning is common on a lot of cars. It happened on my C6. I thought it was the diff-clutch and would cost 3-5k$ to pull the whole rear end out. Nope, just some corrosion on the e-brake or rear caliper hitting the dust shield. Bugged me for like two years before I figured it out and fixed it with a wire brush.
I’m surprised you didn’t have any noise from the hubs on the c7 like you did on the GTR. they always make that noise. When I worked for Chevy half the c7s I worked on were there for that reason

I'm at the hardest point in my life right now, went into the Army but I got an ETPS Discharge, got let off from my job at Intel after I a little while after that, I don't have my own place (I live with my grandma), and I have to get a root canal done but it's Thanksgiving week so I have to fight through insane pain and also my gums are super swollen which doesn't help.
ZL1 LE was my favourite and I’m not even a Chev fan but that thing looks and sounds insane!

Dan I love classic bmws like e46 and older hell I had a e30 that was stick and awd and that thing was a tank here in michigan in the winter made it thru winter 2013&2014 on pirelli p4 tires. But honestly I love and appreciate all car types from tuner to muscle and euro.
I had an 04 F4i. Most comfortable sport bike Ive had. Bought an 06 RR and got rid of it within 3 months. that bike seating was way too aggressive. I miss that F4i still.

I was going to buy an r35 for my next car. I loved that thing in my mind. But this is the first honest review I have heard from someone whos opinion I respect. Might not be the car for me. Sounds like similar reasons to why I dont love, love my gen coupe. I might just go with the s550 mustang or c7/c8 corvette instead.

I would guess that 80% of people who "love" GTR's have never owned one or drove one, they are made so cheap and squeak and rattle everywhere. But I'll admit they are quick as heck.

I have a 2020 gtr got it basically new and it has that exact same ticking clicking sound when turning i feel your pain brotha but they have improved the transmission night and day difference from the older ones

The GTR when Dan bought it was “The UA-camr” car. Roman got it then that 16/17 year old tanner got it. A few months/year after then Dan got it 4-5 months later.
