Great plug for snowmobile clubs, I've joined the Saskatoon club this year. I have a lot more respect for the trail system and the work volunteers put into it even though I only ride them occasionally.
100%. Most people don't realize the work that goes into keeping the trails open. We always travel with a saw to clear what we can
Yes please do, they need your support. If you can volunteer a weekend cutting trail that is most helpful to them. I worked for them for a month in the winter with an excavator clearing blow downs. Big pine and spruce.

We log wet areas in the winter when it freezes and the trucks can drive right over that. You should see some photos i have of the equipment when it breaks through the frost. Bunchers up to the top of the cab in muskeg.

What kind of gloves do you wear? Or are your hands cold and wet the entire ride?
I wear Finntrail Neoprene on colder days and they stay very warm. On warmer days I wear cheap throw aways. Yes hands are wet most of the ride but we have bar warmers if it gets cold
